You’ve been warned. Those who enjoy a few drinks, food, and sufficient service while watching the game(s) best take their time and money elsewhere. From a resident of center city whom frequents similar establishments in the area, I would describe the experience here as “poor” at best. The environment is adequate and the food was decent for bar fare. The beer is cold as well, just don’t plan on getting very much of it. Simply put, the wait staff is inattentive and rude. We arrived just before tip off, were seated and served immediately, and then ignored for the remainder of the game. We spent nearly the entire second half with empty glasses while the wait staff huddled around the register, chatting to each other and generally ignoring their patrons. Toward the end of the game our waiter spent ten straight minutes rolling up silverware, twenty feet away without even a look in our direction. When I asked another waitress for service, she told our waiter, who continued to finish his silverware rolling before delivering our drink and the check without any word, much less an apology or attempt to provide any further service. Upon paying the bill I left a brief but appropriate note to show my dissatisfaction which was met with snickers when our waiter showed it to other staff members in direct eye-line of our table. When I asked to speak to the manager, she stopped to speak to our waiter first and while she attempted to act apologetic about our experience, offered little compassion, no remedy, and simply explained how we were the first to complain about our waiter. Champions will not receive any further business from me and I would not recommend it as there are certainly establishments in the immediate area that better serve patrons with far less aggravation and much more satisfaction. This was the first time I have ever asked speak to a manager regarding poor service and the first time I have felt compelled to write a review to warn others of my experience.

Pros: Atmosphere was adequate

Cons: Service, service, service

Editor's Review

Nibble standard American dishes spiced up with kitschy names underneath the glow of the TV-plastered walls of the Marriot's in-house eatery.  See the full editorial review.
