Not quite a vintage boutique, not quite a thrift store: Chic clothes on these racks are the coolest castoffs around.

In Short
The first Buffalo Exchange opened in 1974 in Tucson, Arizona, and has since become a famous-label junkie's delight. The eclectic inventory is built by loyal customers who bring in former favorites from their own closets to sell or trade. A constant turnaround of lightly worn men's and women's clothing and accessories keeps the bargain-hunting ground fertile for finds from the likes of Kate Spade, Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci and others.
Not worth it

I went here with some nice items, I have made hundreds selling at consignment stores. This one is more for high schoolers. You only earn 35% of what they sell the item for, such as, they offered me 43 dollars for a coach purse that originally sells for 400. If you shop at old navy and are okay with only making 1 for an item, it might be worth a frappicino. However, if you have expensive items, try ebay. Also the staff seems unprofessional, they're very young.
Very disappointed

So, I had emailed for information ahead of time and spoke to a manager stating that I was bringing in some items for sale or trade. Aside from the fact that I was stated a price for what I described, I explained that I was coming in from across the country on vacation and was just looking to let go of items, but get money for them. I was encouraged to bring everything I wanted to get rid of and to get it evaluated. Shame on me, though, because I lugged an entire tote bag of items to Vegas from Massachusetts, and they only wanted one item. This item, a Lucky Brand bag furnished with leather and silk, which I had told the manager ahead of time was a little dirty, was accepted over my other items which were hardly worn and in much better condition. I paid $100 for it when it was in Macy's, which I regret, but I regret coming to this store, as I was made to feel like an idiot for lugging all of this stuff across the country, including a bag that I was told would get close to $20-$25, when they only offered me $8 for it, and that was just in trade-in value. NEVER QUOTE SOMEONE A PRICE ON AN ITEM IF YOU CAN'T PROMISE IT! Also, the prices were a joke and the selection was sub-par compared to other thrift and vintage stores I've been to. Don't bother with it.
- Pros: The shoe selection was kind of neat, and it seems like a cool place for locals. Also, they do their part in charity concerns, which I respect.
- Cons: Not a whole lot that I haven't already touched on. GO TO GOODWILL INSTEAD!
Good clothes selection..but a little finicky as to what they buy for their store..............

I took the long ride from downtown Las Vegas and fought the afternoon traffic jam to reach
the store. I really was looking for credit to trade in on for some different threads. Despite
the five select articles I presented to the young lady who was the clerk for credit, I was
given a lame excuse they couldnt buy them...it wasnt the right time of year for the clothes I brought with me...anyway, I walked out feeling like some moron
for no reason......sorry, but my visit to the store was a bummer.
- Pros: the clothes
- Cons: the staff

Great Place to Find Unique Stuff
by itchytummy
This store has a an ecclectic selection of clothing. If dressing differently is your thing, this is a great place to shop. It's also a great place to get ideas for cool ensembles--the mannequins and staff are often in really funky outfits. Most of the stuff is reasonably priced, considering many things are designer. Some of the things though can be a little overpriced, and can be purchased for lower prices at other stores. Also, sometimes there can also be a shortage in variety of sizes--sometimes a tiny person, or a slightly plus-size gal may have a hard time finding something right for themselves. Other than these drawbacks, it's a great place to shop. The store and the items are clean, good quality, and well-kept, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. (It also has great sales when they come about, which are sometimes up to 75% off!)
- Pros: Unique Clothes, Friendly Staff, Good Sales
- Cons: Sometimes Overpriced, Low Vintage Selection
