What users are saying:
Fast, fresh Mexican specialties and a signature salsa bar are the hallmarks of this restaurant chain.
by Robyn Galbos at Citysearch
In Short
Founded in 1979 in Los Angeles, La Salsa has grown into a chain of quick-serve, taqueria-style restaurants. Specializing in soft-shell tacos and other Mexican favorites, the restaurant's hallmark is its salsa bar that allows customers to choose their toppings. Menu offerings include a variety of fish, meat and veggie tacos, plus burritos, quesadillas and salads. Entree-sized meal platters--like the enchilada plate or three-pepper fajita platter--come with rice, beans, chips and salsa.
Great breakfast or dinner.

We had both breakfast & dinner here. Breakfast was wonderful. They also served bloody marys just in case you need them! Dinner and the margaritas were wonderful. Not upscale, but great food & prices.
- Pros: Great low budget meal
- Cons: Wait time.
Love it

Just mediocre

No need for reservations, no need to make a special trip here. Everything was mediocre: the food, the drinks, the atmosphere, and the service. If you are staying at the Luxor and want a cheap, sit-down experience, La Salsa is fine. Otherwise, you're not missing out by making other plans.
- Pros: Moderately priced
- Cons: Mediocre everything
Decent, but nothing special.

Our group ate at La Salsa in Luxor on a Wed night. The decor of this place is terrible- it seems like a bad dorm cafeteria. It doesn't even have its own bathrooms (isn't that against the law?). You have to leave the restaurant to use the bathroom! The food was solid though- pretty big menu. I had a California Burrito filled with avocado and beans, which was tasty. It's worth a visit if you are already at Luxor and enjoy Mexican, but I wouldn't make a special trip here.
- Cons: terrible decor, no bathrooms
