difficult to cancel
by mich702
I was completely sold on their contact. I called about cancelling, can only cancel if I pay the full contract amount of $500. I don't use the membership the way I thought I would. I think the contract isn't fair & you should only have to pay as you use it. The only way I found to get out of the contract without penalties is to get a doctor's note to say that I can no longer excercise indefinitely. There is no other way to cancel it. Completely not fair. I will never endorse LVAC to anyone, ever. I fell they are scammers.
They will try to bully you into a contract.

I went in just to check things out. I'm shopping around for a health club, and thought Id stop in. I ended up walking out of a high pressure sales pitch, and trashing my info on the way out. Do I really want to go to a club that has to be sold like a used car? I feel sorry for everyone who fell for it.
One of the best clubs for the cost.

I think the other reviewers are dead wrong. Lets take a look at the community provided gyms in town they charge you $3 dollars a day so if you worked out 3 times a week that is $9 and if you workout 4 weeks a month that is $36 dollars. My membership there only costs me $21 a month and I use it 4-5 times a week. Also they have been renovating the other clubs and building fabulous new clubs. Granted parking can be difficult at the new locations but they are great facilities that have just about anything you could want. Also unlike some of the other clubs you can go to any LVAC club without any additional fees. I have never had trouble getting a towel at the front desk. But I wonder how many people don't return their towels. I think for the price it is a wonderful deal. Also if you sign a contract for a two year deal you should read it. It is not much different than the cell phone contracts. You could have paid more for a month to month deal.
- Pros: Tons of group classes and great facilities
- Cons: Parking at new clubs
once you sign up your stuck with some kind of fee.

people there were quick and polite to sign you up however you cant get out of the membership. They will find ways to penalize you or charge you for everything and since they have your card info they can. Im still trying to cancel it without penalty.
Almost impossible to get out of

I have to say joining thi gym was the worst mistake I made while living in Vegas. I am still trying to get out of my membership.
- Pros: There are none I can think of
- Cons: Towels are never available
