This restaurnant is simlair to Red Robin in terms of noisiness, kids, and food options, but not as tasty. I've eaten here twice and the food is ok. It's not super flavorful and not well priced for what you get. However, the atmsophere is pretty fun with the cheesy animal decor, and the thunderstorms are fun to watch. If you're looking to redeem MGMfood credit, don't use it here though. Mgm will only credit for restuarnts they own, which apparenly doesn't include this one. Overall, it ok.

Pros: atmosphere

Cons: food not exciting

The food was great! We had a shrimp pasta dish, paella (OMG!), and bananas Foster. The service was good and friendly, maybe a bit rushed. The food was fresh and plentiful....the entrees were a bit too much for one person to eat and we didn't even have an appetizer, plus, we can both eat! Because the entrees were delicious, we forced ourselves to have dessert, predicting that it would be great, besides, we deserved a treat. Good thing we shared the dessert. Aquariums are a nice feature. About the only possible con is that this is not the place for those who are looking for a quiet relaxing place to eat............there were a lot of kids there and making a lot of noise, on top of the jungle noises and rain/thunderstorm. I would definitely dine here again.

Pros: food is fresh, delicious and plentiful

Cons: not for those who are looking for a quiet restaurant to dine in

This place is a novelty inside the MGM Grand. We ate there before seeing Ka. The service was good, and the environment stole the show. It's easy to watch the fish tanks, or the little animations that certain animals make throughout the dining area, but the food was just ok. I probably got my fill the first time I went and will not go back.

Despite the fact that we have a Rainforest at home, we decided to go here for dinner in Vegas. Overall a cute place with fun ambiance. We liked the thunderstorms every half hour or so. Service was slightly sketchy, though, and the food all seemed to come out at once. It didn't help that the table was super mini when all that food came out. Not sure if I would go back anytime soon, but it was fun nonetheless. Good frozen drinks.

The restaurant certainly looked and sounded like a rainforest complete with lightning, thunder, and animal sounds. Unfortunately, the sounds were so loud that we could hardly carry on a conversation at our table. The noise was too intense for my easy going 4 year old. The food was average comparable to other family-oriented menus. We ordered calamari and were disappointed when it arrived looking very crumbled on the plate. The flavor was good but the pieces were so tiny it looked like we were served other diners' crumbs. The rest of the food we ordered was okay but slightly over-priced. Our server was very inattentive and seemed to disappear for long periods of time. We waited over 25 minutes to be served our drinks. It was disappointing.

Pros: Valet Parking, On the Strip, Reservations Accepted

Cons: Noisy, Noisy, Noisy!!, Inattentive Service

The food here was pretty good, the BBQ chicken pizza really hit the spot. The atmosphere is a little overwhelming, but I suppose it achieved what they were going for. The service I received, however, was horrible. The waiter was inattentive and spent most of his time watching the basketball game at the bar instead of serving us. They never brought the salad my girlfriend ordered but they made sure it got on the bill. The management did apologize, but I doubt I'll ever return! The worst service I've ever had in Vegas!

Cons: Service, Service, Service

I had a party of 13 and decided to call ahead, when we go there I was glad I did because there was a long line waiting to get in. We we're seated immediately and they made extra room for my extra guest. The waiters were friendly and efficient, the drinks large and the food good. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the portions were huge. I didn't find the prices that execissive compared to the rest of Vegas. The decor is a bit tacky though kids will love it and it's fun for a one off thing. There are animatronic jungle animals and every half hour a simulated thunderstorm. It's a bit loud and chilly inside the restaurant but we still had a good time.

Pros: good food, good service

Cons: repetive attractions, chilly

I've eaten at Rainforest Cafes in Orlando, Philadelphia and now Las Vegas. The dining experience is the same nationwide. Mediocre food, hideous service and grossly overpriced. At least they are consisent. Consistently poor. Dont waste your time.

Great for kids. Neat atmosphere for them -- very entertaining, nice special effects, good appetizers. Decent cocktails, but better fruit-based smoothies. Don't there expecting an knock-out "adult" night, but its cheery and lite, great fun for the family. No nudity or adult themes. The food is on the same level of Cheesecake Factory (or less). Kids love the menu and the parents should be happy just to see their kids happy, even if the night isn't an all out adult-fest! No gourmet feast, but it works all around!

Pros: VERY Kid friendly, Neat show effects

Cons: Mediocre food

I had never eaten breakfast at a Rainforest Cafe -- only dinners at other lcoations in the Midwest. The French Toast was phenomenal! I highly recommend it!
