Secret Dining Gem of the Vegas Strip

by peteb201

Hidden in an alley on the strip next to MGM Grand, this gem awaits you.

Generous portions with excellent side dishes. This desert gem, offers steaks as any good NYC steak house. The salad dressing is to die for as the flavor explodes in your mouth.

The decor is vintage vegas with pictures of classic vegas performers (ie Sinatra, Martin) hang from there walls.

Call ahead reservations might be needed. I went in the middle of the week and was seated within 5 mins.

  • Pros: Excellent food
  • Cons: During peak season, can get crowded

Horrible enviroment

by gfugle

I have been going to Alan Alberts steakhouse for the last few times I have been in Vegas and have always

had a great experience there ... Until my last visit.

First I was usually greeted and seated by a young lady, today an older foreign gentleman sat us, in a very bad table directly facing the front door with the afternoon sun blazing in. We were bemused when this gentleman began to make Moo-ing noises not 10 feet away from us. I'M NOT KIDDING. We thought it was

amusing at first and our server came and took our drink orders and was in general excellent as was the food.

My main complaint is the enviroment of the place, I have never seen a place more unprofessional in any resteraunt I have every been in. First a young lady was standing in front of the lobster tanks in a uniform using a cell phone, in a very visible location. A young man walked through the dining room in a t-shirt and speaking extremely loudly and using profanity. We were amazed to see the same man emerge from the bathrooms a few minutes later in a uniform. The entire Meal from that point on was punctuated by the loud and profanity riddled voice of this boor. When we commented to our server about this, he went to confront this man and we could hear the man verbally abusing our server. We felt horrible for the server, who has waited on us on other occasions and been great.

We asked our server to see the manager and were told it was the man who was making Moo-ing noises earlier. At that point we asked for our check and refused the free desert the server offered us.

We were amazed at the enviroment in a restaurants of this price range and the general unruliness of the staff. Our other visits had been excellent but this time it was totally unenjoyable.

  • Pros: food an service was excellent
  • Cons: on our last visit the enviroment was horrible

My best experience in Las Vegas

by arashi4dream

Oh man!!! The steak is completly delicious. Not only that, the quality on their services is exceptional. Honestly my experience in Vegas was just ok until I went to this restaurant. They were absolutly superb. It's so classic, elegant and romantic. You feel like Old Vegas movies. Like if Sinatra his group will show up anytime. My boyfriend and I went there for his birthday and they were so sweet to bring a cake and show us the facilities of the restaurant. We also have fun seeing their 17 lbs lobster. Amazing! I think you should visit this restaurant on your first day and last day just to feel the Vegas is not only a HUGH Super Mall. Thanks you Kendall for you outstanding service.

  • Pros: Delicious Food, Great Service and beautiful decoration
  • Cons: A little price but it's worthy

Great Steaks while enjoying a true Las Vegas experience

by campbellclan6

If you like steak and lobster this is the place for you. I've been to every decent steak place in Vegas and this is consistently the best. The service is great and the food is amazing. It's also 'old school' Vegas, you can almost imagine the like of Dean Martin, Bing Crosby and Sammy Davis heading here after a show.

  • Pros: Ambience, Service, Food
  • Cons: Pricey but worth it

The Best.......

I just left Vegas, and Alan Albert's was on my mind till I got home. I believe the service was unbelievably great! The Lobsters are HUGE, (their is no such thing as Red Lobster when speaking or comparing to Alan Albert's).

Must see place

by tessa20

If you want to "leave" vegas for a few hours, this is the place. Great Steaks, Crab and Osso Buco. The twice baked was a bit dry and the pepper butter peas not quite and peppery as I would have liked, but very interesting. Service was perfect, ambience even better. Grade A

  • Pros: Service, Steaks, Noise Level
  • Cons: Twice Baked Tater

Alan Alberts is easily my favorite eatery in Vegas. The food is awesome, the staff well trained. Easily the best steak I've ever had. The desserts are amazing, the lobster and crab fresh and wonderful. We'll be back in November!

  • Pros: The Food, It's fairly casual, Decent Parking
  • Cons: hard to find
