Everytime I visit Vegas I make a stop at the Peppermill, it's a bit of nostalgia that you don't see much anymore. The food is excellent, the portions are HUGE and a great value for the money. Love the atmosphere and service is always sharp (although the clothes the female servers wear are not!).

Pros: food, value, service

Cons: terrible waitress uniforms!

This was the cure to the common meal. I was staying at the Riviera Hotell for a Social science convention. If I had only know of the Peppermill when I checked in. The service was great, the food was the perfect "Anti-Meatloaf". I was tired, hungrey and asked for a Pastrami. It was everything you would want, the meat was thin (check), the breat was fresh (check) with a light mustard that did not over power the meat, (double check). As I looked around it seemed like everyone was...fat and happy! The glowing neon that might get it banned in a small town fit right in with my own ideas of "Vegas" (OK, I am 50-something!). The light also seemed to go with the sound of every language-in this case it might have been Mandarin. There was a massive trade convention in town with rumors of a very large group from China selling heavy construction equipment. I now wonder if the group next to me was part of that? Did I mention the wine? I asked for a Syrah/Shiraz and loved it. This part of "The Strip" seemed to have very little parking, so I would guess most of the people walked. As for the woman who waited on me, she was everything you would want and nothing you would not want. I also had a chance to see her style with the other patrons. She handled the kind of touching that might get a face slaped in another place-did not seem to brake her style or demeanor-I hope they tipped very, very big. Yes I have heard this compared to "Dennys", but smile when you say that and declare it to be "Dennys on steroids". When I come back to town the reason to stay at the Riviera will be that I can walk, or even craw to the Peppermill Inn. The only shame is that it is not in fact an "Inn" I would rather move in and not walk.

Pros: Hot service, good Traditional 50-something food

Cons: walk to it

Yes the Peppermill Inn is like your neighborhood diner but the food quality is a great deal higher then say...Denny's. The menu offers plenty to choose from and has your average breakfast, lunch, and dinner diner choices. The pancakes are huge, the eggs are fluffy, and the hashbrowns are homemade. This is a great breakfast spot after a very long night. The slightly cheesey color scheme and neon lights are actually quite entertaining and the waitstaff is extremely friendly! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good breakfast!

Pros: Great breakfast, good value, very friendly waitstaff

Cons: can get quite busy

Good value for the money. Great portion sizes. Many you wish you had someone to share your order. Can be busy, but worth the wait.

We got into a cab a little after 2am. "Where to?" the cabbie asked. "Good food and lots of it," I said. He said he knew of a place if we were up for a surprise. Sure. Why not? We were taken straight over to the Peppermill. We fell in love with it immediately. The plastic trees and blue and red neon everywhere summed it up exactly. I ordered what I believe was the largest vanilla shake I've ever seen. And it was good! I wasn't expecting gourmet food and ordered accordingly. I got the chicken strips and they were some of the better ones I've had in a while. I'd absolutely go back again, now that I know about it. We saw people in various stages of being hungover, some practically passed out in the booths. But hey, it's Vegas, right? I loved it.

Pros: very Vegas, neon

Five years ago this was hands down the coolest place on the strip. They decided to update it and ruined it. Now it's not much more than a Denny's with an edge. The bar has video screens everywhere and the way cool and dark lighting is replaced by the common glass bowl lamps hanging over every table throwing annoying glare into your eyes and the waitresses are forever hitting their heads on them. The food is good but overpriced for what it is. You can still see that it once was cool underneath the 'improvements' but if you ever saw the old Peppermill you just want to cry. And not go back.

Pros: Large portions, No waiting ever, 24 hours

Cons: overpriced, overpriced, overpriced

A coctail hostess reccommend this place. The portions were more than enough. Good quality food. A little higher priced, but definetly worth it. The following trip I went with two good friends, took them there our second meal, and they insited we go back one more time before we left.

We found the Peppermill by accident and was the best eating place in Vegas after many years of visiting. The seating was fabulous and so was the food, even though the portions were bigger than me. Yes, it was a bit expensive but the food was good, it was clean and you were made to feel at home. You should try one of their bloody mary's for breakfast from the bar - excellent!!

Pros: seating, decor, quantity

Cons: slow service

When you have to pay $2.50 for just a cup of coffee you cannot afford to pay for anything else. Not to mention we were seat at the bar (because that was the only smoking section) and watched the waitresses as they were delivering the customers breakfast. I could not tell you how many times the bagels were sent through a warmer before they were actually served to the customer or, how the condiments were just thrown onto a plate.
