Flamingo is a nice interactive hotel and casino, but which one isn't. They all seem to offer something but the Flamingo is special. They have actual flamingos on the property for people to watch and kids to gain a sense of excitement. The service is wonderful, rooms are clean and spacious, the view is okay (depending on what side your room is located on). Overall the wildlife theme is very cool, and the experience of staying there is worth your time.
Bugsy Siegel's desert dream, The Flamingo, has anchored the Las Vegas Strip since they started rolling dice in 1946.

In Short
This self-contained casino and resort offers everything an adventurous vacationer could want: a 77,000-square-foot casino with 1,600 slot machines, a 15-acre Caribbean-style water playground, a Wildlife Habitat, fitness center and spa, outdoor wedding venue, six restaurants and plenty of entertainment. To boo, all the rooms have been remodeled and have taken on a newer, modern look. The Flamingo "Go Room" is perfect for techies wih its iPod docking station, CD/DVD player, 42-inch flat panel televisions, electronic window treatments and wireless internet capability. The Flamingo's roster of entertainment includes: comedian George Wallace, The Second City improve troupe, Donny and Marie, X Burlesque, and Nathan Burton's Comedy Magic, an afternoon show.

I was at this hotel for my son's wedding- what a rip-off! The rooms were nothing more than you can get at any Best Western and it was the very most I've ever spent for a room! Further I had hair & Makeup done in the Salon and it cost $300.00-for a simple updo & makeup. I will never go bacxk and I will tell everyone who'll listen to stay away!!!
- Pros: None
- Cons: Over priced for bare room quality!
Worst Hotel On The Strip, Extremely Poor Customer Service, Rude Managers

My husband and I have stayed at multiple hotels on the Las Vegas Strip and have never been treated as poorly as we were at the Flamingo. First, they overcharge their guest at the airport for the ?convenience? of charging the shuttle tickets to your room. The normal cost per a person is $10.50, round trip. The Flamingo charges you $14.00. We called the front desk to inquire about the $3.50 service charge per a person and was told these options are explained at the airport, which they were not. When we arrived at our room, there was dirty water in the bathroom sink and water on the counter. We tried to release the sink stopper but it was stuck. We immediately called room maintenance, was reassured an engineer would fix it, and left our room. Six hours later, we retuned to our room and the dirty water was still in the sink. We called again and waited, an hour later, the sink was not fixed. We called again, waited, and finally went downstairs to complain in person. The front desk agent retrieved the manager who was unsympathetic to our room conditions. At this time, we wanted to change rooms, and did not feel that compensation to an upgrade was unreasonable. He refused to change us even to a lateral room. We asked about an upgrade. He refused to grant it without charging us for both rooms. He said we had been on our room for six hours and he would be glad to check us out without charging us the early departure fees. Thirty minutes later, we complained to another desk clerk. They agreed to upgrade our room for an additional $20.00 per a night. We agreed but they charged us $27.00 per a night. We have experienced problems with rooms at other hotels, in the past and they have always gladly upgraded our room and jumped at the opportunity to fix the situation. There are to many hotels on the strip that offer better value and customer service than the Flamingo. This hotel is clearly not looking for a repeat customer. I will not stay there or any Harrah?s property.

We had a great room with a huge plasma TV and another TV built into the mirror it the bathroom. It was new and clean. We had a great time at Flamingo.
- Pros: location
- Cons: rooms are a bit small, but fine for 2

I have stayed at this hotel quite a bit. It is a nice hotel I would say above average. The rooms are affordable, the location is good, and they have a really great pool which is enjoyable in the hot summer months.
- Pros: great location, great pool

The best part about this hotel is the location, and you can sometimes find great deals. Pool is pretty good, too. The cons are that the lobby has low ceilings and feels claustrophobic, check-in takes
forever, and the place is overrun with kids. The pros generally weigh out the cons, though,
and I'll continue to come back as long as the price is right.

This hotel is a great value. It is in the middle of the strip and close to everything. If you want to be close and have a good time for a good price this is the hotel. Really how long do you stay in your hotel.
- Pros: great value
- Cons: smokey

The Flamingo is your standard hotel. Its clean, beds are decent and the rooms service is average. They have a great location and their casino is easy to get around in and affordable. table games aren't excessive and I actually won on their slot machines. Its a great value. If you aren't looking for all the "fluff" its a good place to stay.
- Pros: Great location
