I went with a business group of about 45 people to the Morton's at 400 East Flamingo Road in Las Vegas on Friday March 2, 2007. The menu that was arranged in advance for the group had three choices, a 14 oz. filet mignon, a chicken dish, and a salmon dish. They all came with steamed redskin potatoes, a steamed vegetable medley, Caesar salad, and a choice of two desserts. The waiters were attentive and mixed drinks, wine, and beer were delivered very quickly. The Caesar salad was quite good with fresh lettuce and good dressing and cheese. However the filet mignon was of very poor quality. It was cooked as everyone ordered, but everybody's was full of gristle, tough, and lacking a good beef flavor. The potatoes that everyone received were only about 1/2 done. When I mentioned this to the one of the waiters, he acknowledged what I said, but made absolutely no effort to do anything about it. The vegetables in the vegetable medley were very good. We had a very large assortment of hors d’oeuvres served family style before the meal. The hors d'oeuvres were awful. One of the hors d'oeuvres was made of crab meat. It had a very strong taste, unlike any serving of a crab dish that I have ever had, and I am from the east coast and I know what it should taste like. Another hors d’oeuvre was supposed to be roast beef, it was very tough and did not have a very good beef flavor either. The cheesecake that I had for dessert was outstanding. Overall, the experience was awful. I will never come back to Morton's Steak House in Las Vegas.
Pros: Very Attentive Wait Staff, Good Desserts
Cons: Awful Filet Mignon, Under Cooked Potatoes, Poor Hors D'oeuvres,

A recent rip to Las Vegas and a stop at Morton's located at 400 East Flamingo Rd on 01/20/07 had us leaving with disapointment. Service was fine. Part of our meal was a $52.00 steak 14 oz fillet which was about 7 oz of grizzle. It was cooked medium as requested. Unfortunately the wait staff had stopped by a little quick after getting our food and then we didn't see them until after we were done. They apoligized and made a gracious attempt at rectifying the problem by offering us dessert or an after dinner drink, which we did not want and graciously declined. I am not sure if their policy is to not deduct money from the bill, personally we were full with what we ate, and told them not to worry about it as I didn't want to cause an issue. At the same time, I feel that they should have inspected the steak (fillet mignon) before it was prepared which would have easily been seen as a poor cut of meat. I am sure we will not go to another Morton's as Ruth's Chris, Vic & Anthony's, and Perry's have all proved to be exceptional when it comes to a steakhouse with a fine dining appeal.
Pros: Ambience
Cons: Lack of Steak Quality Control, They will Cook & Serve a Bad Cut

A group of us came here for a business dinner and had an awesome time. Our waiter suggested great wine to accompany our steaks. Their sides were decent but the steaks are the real reason to come here. Everything ended up being about $90/person.

EXCELLENT food! The Waiter.........now he was VERY impersonal almost uncomfortable. Loved the dessert too! Would I go back? Hmmmmmmmmmm! For $425 I expected a little more hospitality.
Pros: Great Parking
Cons: Poor Service-No personality

the filet will melt in your mouth and the godiva chocolate cake you must order when you order your dinner so they can make it and bake it from scratch.

We enjoy the atmosphere and quality of the dining experience. We take our friends when traveling together, and enjoy the romance of dining as a couple. We believe Morton's is special enough for an engagement proposal, or a wedding anniversary dinner. We have dined in several other Mortons across the country, and have enjoyed a lovely evening in each of them. We recommend this restaurant to all of our friends who are seeking a fine dining experience.
Pros: atmosphere, service, quality

Morton's serves the best steak in town. They have excellent service and always make sure you are satisfied with their service and their food. You get what you pay for. I have vegetarian friends who go to Mortons with me and they go out of their way to serve them the best vegetarian plate they can get anywhere. Bartenders are the best in Las Vegas.
Pros: excellent valet, drinks, service

The food was bad and over priced. I felt stupid and ripped off when I left. From what I experienced, their specialty was not great steak, but making the sale.

I cannot believe the rating that Mortons is getting here on this site. The food is good, but the service is the worst. They forgot several of our sides, and did not even ask anyone if we wanted deserts, and their reason that two persons in our group of six have ordered their soufflés at the same time they placed their order because of the time it takes to make fresh. I will never recommend Mortons nor will I ever enter their business again. I am not being unreasonable, as I do eat out a lot and do know good food and service is, and I also own a service-oriented business. And I always tip at least 20% + but not at Mortons, it should have been free. I have gotten better service at iHOP.
Pros: Food
Cons: , Service, Service

One of the best steaks/meals (Filet Mignon: rate 9.8). I travel frequently at many basic, and moderate to fine restaurants. At Morton's I dined with a large group friends, preplanned dinning, Morton's gave us a private room (Fri. night). Promptly greeted us, waited at the bar long enough to order one drink, and served us timely. The appetizers, including seafood was delicious. As any dining experience drinks will hike the bill. It is a high end restaurant. I was comfortable spending apx. $38 an entree plus appetizers, drinks, tax, & tip. You should be able to expect high end service and no children in the atmosphere. Plan your expenses while you're in Vegas and you'll enjoy the experience. Besides for the amount of time you're there dining 1 hr or more, you would have likely blown $500 gambling... I saved money.
Pros: Steak, Seafood , Service
