Well, actually lunch is all you need. This is the best sushi buffet you will ever visit. The place is clean, the decor has nice lines, it is hectic. The price is right. The sushi is fresh and varied. The salads are crisp and sauces sharp. The very nature of a buffet degrades the quality of the food IMO. The question is how much. At Machino's the amswer is very little. The sushi moves at this place (ok, not literally). The chefs are constantly preparing and serving it and there are usually 7 or 8 at work. When I am in LV I eat everyother lunch at Machino's. It's the only thing I enjoy more than Poker.

Pros: Fresh, real sushi

Cons: It's hectic, it's a buffet.

I've been to several sushi buffets and this is definitely one of the best...great sushi selections... tempura is always full of shrimps..not just vegetables....and everything is fresh... and they have good selections of cooked foods too for those of you who don't lke raw foods. and the last time i was there..they had a chocolate fountaine...great for the ladies who would rather eat desserts than anything else...

Pros: great selections of foods

Cons: location is off the strip..taxi is a bit hard to find

Todai never looked this good, but then again, the prices are the same, the food is practically the same so it may as well be the same. Vegas style buffets are huge, but Makino's keeps the overeating Japanese food lover in shape, which is fat and happy. Stay real hungry before you decide to make it this big sushi feast.

Pros: Food, Variety, Service

Cons: Bathrooms, Price

Las Vegas being overly saturated with Buffet's, Makino's is a refreshing change. There are two locations, both I have found to be consistent in sushi preparation and freshness. For newbie sushi lovers, you can try a whole new array of tastes and combinations without having to order a whole roll. Large array of seafood salads, tempura, miso soup, terriaki meats, rice and wonderful desserts. Try the shaved ice with condensed milk and the sweet red bean paste! Sounds strange but so yummy and authentic. Taking out of town family there, they were amazed/stunned at how the whole place functions, but believed the sushi was of top quality. The waitresses are sweet yet very busy at times. Go for luch, basically same foods yet at a smaller price. For around $20, you can eat what would normally cost you $45. Try it at least once!

Pros: Value, Quick Lunch, Quality

Cons: Quick Service

After eating at the Premium Outlets location with some visiting friends, I can't recommend the place. First was the service-- we were seated only after several minutes of standing in front of the lady at the cash register (no other waiting customers, and plenty of space in the restaurant). The service from the waitresses was pretty indifferent. Granted, this is a buffet restaurant, but it would have been nice if they had at least kept our water glasses refilled. The food was decent, in terms of the freshness. However, the pieces of sushi were so large that they were hard to manage. Such large pieces also tend to fill people up before they can sample some of the other types. Value-- definitely not worth the $23.95 charged per person for dinner. They also charged extra for tea, which wound up being just an instant tea bag.

Pros: good desserts

Cons: expensive, indifferent service, charged for tea

I can't recall having good experiences in AYCE Sushi places, but this place was surprisingly decent. As a Japanese national, I've experienced so many pseudo-shshi's prepared by non-japanese sushi chef-wannabe's in this country, but I'll give this place a passing score. Neta (Fish) portion of the sushi is not bad, sushi-rice is properly prepared, and I think Nigiri (squeezing the rice) part is done by a machine, but it wasn't bad, and overall came out ok. This place even has expensve "neta" like ikura (salmon-roe) and Uni (sea urchins) that aren't found in many AYCE places. You even get oysters and crabs here. I didn't try any non-sushi stuff they have (why bother), and I just stuffed myself with sushi. Overall, not bad for the price if you are in the mood for a lot of sushi. I'd go back there again.

Pros: Decent Sushi, All you can eat

Cons: kind of loud

Makino is the best Japanese Seafood Restaruant in Las Vegas. They serve a wide variety of seafood prepared in a variety of ways. In addition, the value beats any other Japanese restaurant I have ever eaten in. Including many othe major U.S. cities and Japan.

Pros: Fresh Seafood, Great Value

Cons: Buffet, Noisy
