We found this gem to be everything we expected and more! This restaurant offers a quiet and romantic getaway from typical Vegas. Mimmo's is not on "The Strip" which was a big bonus to begin with, no flashing lights or constant "bing, bing, bing" of machines. We were enjoying a night on the town without the kids and had a great experience. We were promptly seated in a cozy booth and were greeted by our outstanding waiter "Zoli". Zoli served us a lovely amuse bouche of rolled fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, basil and pine nuts, drizzled with honey and accompanied with a flute of Prosecco! It was a great prelude to our evening. We looked through the expansive wine list and decided on a great bottle for around $70 dollars. There are less expensive and dramatically more expensive choices available as well. We started our meal off with a great salad for my wife and an appetizer for myself. What an appetizer it was! Asparagus spears wrapped in many layers of prosciutto topped with melted fresh mozzarella and drizzled with aged Balsamic. It was served piping hot and I couldn't stop eating every last bite. It would be great to share as a couple or among a group of 4, but I did it all alone which I later regretted. My wife ordered the Osso Buco, Mimmo's signature dish and for very good reason. My wife was blown away! She said it was among the top 5 things she has EVER eaten. Large portion of Veal shank, fork tender in a sauce that was too good not the lick the plate for! I ordered the Evening Special "Seafood Medley Ravioli." It was a combo of Lobster, Crab, Shrimp and Scallops in stuffed house-made ravioli in a butter and sage sauce. It was delicious but I was getting full quickly (too much of the appetizer...). Zoli approached at the end of the meal to sing praises for dessert, especially the Tiramisu, but we unfortunately we had to save it for our future visit. Miimmo's was tremendous, the food excellent and service was fun yet dignified! A must try!
Pros: Osso Buco, Service, Wine List, Ambiance
Cons: Hard to save room for Dessert!
