I only write reviews when something is either really great or really horrible and this was really horrible. First off, they had a menu outside with prices that must have been a lunch menu because the prices inside were about triple those prices. But, my friends and I aren't afraid to splurge and we were ready for a great Italian meal. Well, where do I start? How about being charged twice for drinks. We were going to start with ordering several appetizers and then split them between us five guys. We started to order appetizers and after ordering the tomato and mozzarella plate, the waiter said he could do better than that. Fine, so we ordered the tomato and mozzarella along with two things that he suggested. Well, instead of bringing three plates of separate appetizers like we ordered, he brought each of us an individual plate with all the stuff on it. We thought this was great, until we realized at the end, when the bill was delivered, that they charged us for each individual instead of just for each appetizer. Just the simple tomato and mozzarella was over $50. But, wait, it gets worse. Not one of us thought our food was anywhere close to being worth what we paid for it, but I ordered lamb chops that were tougher than a Clint Eastwood cowboy character. For two, (yes, TWO) small lamb chops and some unimpressive stack of vegetables, it was $44. While I'm not opposed to spending money for a great meal, this was far, FAR from being even 'okay'. The lamb chops were horribly overdone and the last one was so tough and over-cooked and dry that I actually didn't finish it. The bill was astronomical and we felt totally taken. The food was not great and the cost was way beyond reasonable for such average food. (And in the case of my lamb chops, horrible). This is by far, BY FAR, the worst restaurant in terms of food to cost ratio that I have EVER been to. And I've been to some nice places. We felt cheated and taken.

Pros: None.

Cons: Food was average to horrible. Totally inedible lamb chops. Chew on your shoe.... it'll taste better. Prices well beyond reason for the experience.

Sorry if i get wordy...but its rare when you go to a restaurant over and over...and each time...is a wonderful, wonderful experience. As a local...there are few restaurants were i can enjoy quality of food AND quality of service that makes me feel as special as a visitor to our city! The OWNER knows his customers and remembers you with every visit to his restuarant...ive never seen anything like it! Ive tried about 4 of their appetizers that were soooo good, i wanted seconds. Ravioli...is just ravioli...NOT here! The pasta itself is perfectly cooked...never overcooked. The stuffing melts in your mouth. NOTHING is too thick, too glumpy...and yet...the sauces are never so thin, that they become non distinct. All of the sauces Ive tried compliment perfectly. Their Sea Bass...OH MY! I could go on and on about the various dishes...and so far...I havent had one I didnt enjoy. But its not just the food. Its the caliber of the waiters/waitresses. Its the way the owner makes you feel when he comes around and sincerely wants to know if you are enjoying yourself. He never misses a beat...he is constantly in the restaurant, always overseeing what is happening. THIS is the kind of restaurant you find in NY City, Chicago, Boston. This is where you all should go, if you want to relax, have the various food experiences blend and not fight each other in your mouth. THIS is where you go when you want to end your evening feeling this wasnt a meal...this was a significant event during your vacation here or if you are a local like me...a wonderful night, well spent. GO! See if im not right.

Pros: SERVICE, SERVICE, SERVICE. QUALITY OF FOOD, QUALITY OF FOOD

Cons: HAVENT FOUND ONE YET

During my recent stay in Las Vegas, I searched the web to find the best Italian Restaurant in the area. My time spent searching in GOOGLE paid off. Mimmo Ferraro's ranks up there with the top Italian Restaurants that I have visited around the world. Off course I had to try their famous osso bucco and I was very impressed. I am Italian myself, so it is hard for me find a red sauce that I like as much as my Mom's but Mimmo's was on the money. The service I received was also excellent. If you are looking for great Italian food in Vegas, I would highly recommend paying a visit to Mimmo Ferraro's. - Jamie Krugger

Pros: Great Food, Atmosphere, and Service

Disappointed after the excellent reviews. First off, my husband and I do not eat veal so the house specialty osso buco was off limits. I started off with the ceasar salad and requested anchovies, very surprised to see that I was charged for this when the bill came. My husband ordered the fettuccine carbonara. Unlike no other carbonara we have ever had. I mentioned this to our server because I thought they had delived the wrong meal, fettuccine with a pink sauce. The waiter informed us they use paprika and cream. How odd! I ordered the gnocchi with bolognese sauce. The gnocchi was outstanding but the bolognese sauce was mediocre. Will look for another Italian restaurant to try next time we are in town.

If you are looking for a great meal with great ambiance in Las Vegas, take the trouble to go to Ferraro's. I have been going to outstanding restaurants all over the US for many years and have never had a better meal. It began with the wonderful dipping sauce (olive oil, pesto and spices) and bread. The Caesar salad was very good, but the real knockout was the house special Osso Bucco. It is beyond good. I guarantee a meal you will never forget. The service was equal to the food. I gave it five stars only because I couldn't give it ten. We had dinner at Spago the night before and it does not compare to Ferraro's in quality of the food or service. I will never come back to Vegas without coming here.

Pros: There was a table of misbehaving kids near us and somehow the staff convinced them to leave. I was blown away and very very appreciative. The kids were ruining the meal.

We have never had Veal better than this. The Osso Bucco was incredible as was the rest of our dinner. Our server & guide Corrado was extremely knowledgeable & very personable. He added to our wonderful dining experience. We grew up in an Italian/Jewish neighborhood in N.J. & know great Italian food. Ferraro's was highly recommended by our Casino hosts & they were right on. We will recommend Ferraro's to all.

Pros: Super Italian food, great service, superior value

Cons: none

We found this gem to be everything we expected and more! This restaurant offers a quiet and romantic getaway from typical Vegas. Mimmo's is not on "The Strip" which was a big bonus to begin with, no flashing lights or constant "bing, bing, bing" of machines. We were enjoying a night on the town without the kids and had a great experience. We were promptly seated in a cozy booth and were greeted by our outstanding waiter "Zoli". Zoli served us a lovely amuse bouche of rolled fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, basil and pine nuts, drizzled with honey and accompanied with a flute of Prosecco! It was a great prelude to our evening. We looked through the expansive wine list and decided on a great bottle for around $70 dollars. There are less expensive and dramatically more expensive choices available as well. We started our meal off with a great salad for my wife and an appetizer for myself. What an appetizer it was! Asparagus spears wrapped in many layers of prosciutto topped with melted fresh mozzarella and drizzled with aged Balsamic. It was served piping hot and I couldn't stop eating every last bite. It would be great to share as a couple or among a group of 4, but I did it all alone which I later regretted. My wife ordered the Osso Buco, Mimmo's signature dish and for very good reason. My wife was blown away! She said it was among the top 5 things she has EVER eaten. Large portion of Veal shank, fork tender in a sauce that was too good not the lick the plate for! I ordered the Evening Special "Seafood Medley Ravioli." It was a combo of Lobster, Crab, Shrimp and Scallops in stuffed house-made ravioli in a butter and sage sauce. It was delicious but I was getting full quickly (too much of the appetizer...). Zoli approached at the end of the meal to sing praises for dessert, especially the Tiramisu, but we unfortunately we had to save it for our future visit. Miimmo's was tremendous, the food excellent and service was fun yet dignified! A must try!

Pros: Osso Buco, Service, Wine List, Ambiance

Cons: Hard to save room for Dessert!

Our server brought the wrong dishes and opened bottles of sparkling water that we did not order. Of course, we were charged later. Server had a terrible attitude and got worse when we tipped him. He came out to the parking lot to ask why didn't we tip him more. After that he said "in the name of the restaurant you are no longer welcome here". We looked for a manager but it was 11.30pm and no manager was around. We left our business cards and until now we have not received a phone call. We know what is quality and service since my friends, me and my husband are Chefs and Front of the House managers of high end restaurants of 2 of the best casinos in Las Vegas... So, just a piece of advice, do not go there, is better to spend that money at a better place, were service is good (server are educated) and food is at least ok.

Cons: service, ambiance,

The osso bucco is phenomenal and the accolades don't stop there. This award-winning restaurant is a must on any foodie's list. This is a restaurant that we have recalled fondly ever since our first visit there in the early 90s. In fact, every one of our visits to Las Vegas has included Ferraro's on our dining list... I just wish we could have dined there every time. Indeed, this is a pilgrimage-worthy restaurant!

Pros: Amazing Osso Bucco

Cons: The Osso Bucco is so good that we haven't tried anything else on the menu
