Scary kitchen

Service sucked, Food was awful. We usually eat at the one on Rampart, found out that this is owned by different people and the owner is very cheap and inhospitable. The economy is suffering so you would think you would appreciate customers but in this case he made you feel like you should thank him for serving you which is way wrong. They made you ask for every little thing and if you request something special like some extra mustard expect to wait while they check to see if they can. I don't understand Chinese but I do understand gestures and expressions. We were amazed to see how many people it took to get ablittle extra mustard. I will never eat here again and will highly recommend for people to avoid this place and take the extra ten to fifteen minutes to go the one on rampart or just try something in China town

Stay Away

All you had to do was give the kids a fortune cookie...wow - I really didnt understand that POLICY...you guys probably need to shut down if you cant afford to give out fortune cookies to each member in the party. It was for a party of four and two cookies just didnt make sense...nor your attitude when asked to correct the matter...wow I will never come back. For others: Diamond China on Rampart is owned by someone else so that is a much better place. Dont be fooled by the name this owner is really a cheapy which makes you wonder about the food....

• Cons: Overall Experience, Food, and Service...Don't take your chance at this one...

Fast, Friendly, and Delicious!

Whenever my husband and I crave Chinese food, Diamond China on Sahara is where we ALWAYS order from. We call in the order, and it's ready to be picked up in 20 minutes, freshly prepared. We absolutely love their bbq pork fried rice! The chicken for the sweet and sour chicken entree are large pieces of thinly sliced breaded chicken breast, flash fried and so delicious! My husband always orders the Mongolian beef, which is fantastic and has a bit of spice to it, not too much but builds in heat slowly. The vegetables are always fresh and are cut in big pieces. We definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves high quality fast-food Chinese!

Nothing to write home about

We tried the Rampart Diamond China, and fell in love. We decided to eat at this location. We found out later, that this location is owned by a different owner. The server was nice, but forgot our wine and beer. It seemed like we had to ask for every little thing. They didn't seem to care if we were satisfied or not. There were 3 tables total including us, and it seemed like we were forgotten, since we had to remind 2 people about our drinks. We got them after the app., just in time for the meal. The food quality was dissappointing. We ordered the usual..egg rolls, chicken fried rice, and sweet and sour pork. The meat was poor, and with all dishes, none seemed as fresh or flavorful as the Rampart location. Also, I've seen better bathrooms at a Chevron gas station. They did replace the paper towels while I was there, so someone tried to help. Nice people, but good service was like pulling teeth.

Fantastic lunch specials

We stopped in recently to take advantage of the $3.95 luncheon special. We had a choice of about a dozen entrees with rice, a great hot and sour soup plus an egg roll included. This special is hard to beat as the food was well above average.

Stay up and eat really late--without having to hit the casinos--with this citywide favorite.

In Short
There are a lot of excellent Chinese restaurants in Las Vegas, but this one in particular shines enough to have become a citywide favorite. The menu is long enough to rival a bestseller, listing page after page of specialties by main ingredient from several regions. They also serve a wide variety of hot pots and noodle dishes. All the common dishes are there, like Mongolian Beef and Cashew Chicken, right next to dozens of other variations, making the restaurant perfect for both conservative and adventurous diners.
