I recently went to Vegas and did some planning with Citysearch. Sushi House Manda was a place I targeted based on all the great reviews (#2 Sushi Place). The 30-minute drive from The Strip turned out to be a waste because this place is out of business! It has been replaced with a bar. I was so disappointed! I'm writing this review so that others do not have to face the same disappointment.

Cons: Out of Business!!!

Based on all the reviews, on my recent trip to Vegas with the boyfriend, we decided to try out Sushi Manda. Coming from Los Angeles and San Diego, we have VERY HIGH expectations of sushi and both of us are extremely picky so we thought we'd be a little disappointed but we were so wrong! The place is very small, but comfortable and the sushi is just wonderful. The Nigiri wasn't the best we've had but still good. The special rolls on the otherhand really stood out. They only have about four of them but the No Name Roll and the Volcano Roll were just to die for, both were packed with fish and none of that fake crab stuff and it was just divine. The handrolls are also very good and the prices are extrememly reasonable from about 4.75 for Nigiri to $12 for the most expensiv special roll which is well worth it. Like the other reviewers have said already, the yum yum sauce really is expceptional. We can't wait to go back to vegas!

Pros: Great Sushi, good prices and excellect service!

Cons: The sushi bar was full!

After reading all the rave reviews, we decide to add this to our weekend Vegas trip. The restaurant shares its space with a local-looking bar but dont let that deter you. The main decor is the well-lit center sushi bar, with tables (1 deep only) around the perimeter. No doubt the sushi is very fresh which makes their nigiri sushi (fish and rice) the top of my list. That day I found the salmon to be the tastiest, followed by their salmon roe and maguro tuna. The selection of fish is fairly basic with uni (sea urchin) and sweet shrimp w/head as the most exotic items on their menu. Their rolls were fairly straight forward. What makes some of the rolls unique is their Yum Yum sauce which is a mayo based spicy hot sauce. It is very good but after a while you may end up hoping for a variety of sauces to accompany their carefully prepared rolls like I did. If you have a healthy appetite the all-you-can-eat deal is probably your best option. You can literally order anything on the menu including their most expensive items. Unfortunately the day we went they were out of uni and fresh eel. Their house special rolls are very large so if you want to save yourself from getting full too quickly you can request for half size rolls. The place was empty on Saturday at 5pm for the early bird special ($26.95), but don't worry as the sushi is as fresh as others have testified. Also you will recieve 1 on 1 attention from the friendly Japanese sushi chiefs. Essentially this is a down-to-earth no-frills sushi establishment where, to the delight of sushi purist, only the freshness of the fish stands out.

Pros: Fresh fish. Good value. Friendly service.

Cons: Average variety.

If sushi is what you are craving, and a lot of it then you have to make it a priority to visit Sushi House Manda. They have some of the best fish that I have come across along with some very tasty specialty rolls, hand rolls, and cut rolls. So take the time to go and visit Jimbo and the rest of the crew for a meal you will not soon forget. I dare you to prove me wrong on this one.........I dare you!

Pros: Awesome and fresh fish!

Cons: Might have to wait a little to sit at the sushi bar....but it's worth it!!!

My husband and I were in Vegas for the week. I went to Citysearch to look for a good sushi bar. We read the reviews and decided to trek all the way out to Sushi House Manda. We were not disappointed. The sushi was fresh and delicious. And I can't rave enough about the yum yum sauce!! The entire staff was ultra friendly and made great recommendations when we asked. And remember, try the Jimbo rolls!

I've been going to Sushi House Manda for over 15 years, and Jimbo and Leslie are the best! I've learned the hard way not to do the 'sushi roll' out the door from overeating, but if you're looking to get your fill of great sushi, this is the place to do it. Whether you're a beginner or a connoisseur, look no further. The fish is always fresh, the staff alway friendly, I wouldn't think of going anywhere else! P.S. One of these days I'm going to invent my own roll! :-)

Pros: Original Home of the Yum Yum Sauce...

Cons: As far away from my home as possible...

I used to fly to las vegas few times a month just for fun. I saw sushi house ad in a magazine had to try it since I have a big appetite, so the all you can eat sushi deal was great. I started going there when they were next to the worlds largest gift shop. Now that they have moved to a better spot it's even better atomsphere. Of course you dont go there for the scene but the food. I work for the Southwest airlines in LAX and have taken many of my co-workers there, all of them have said it's probably the best sushi restaurant they have been too. So we try to fly over there al least once a month just for the sushi and fly right back. Believe it or not I have not been to a better sushi bar for the quality of food and price in los angeles which is hard to believe. People sometimes laugh at me when I tell them that I go to vegas for sushi cause everythings in LA. What make's sushi house great: 1. Food is fantastic 2. you cant beat the price for the quality 3. service has always been good 4. you have 1 hour for the all you can eat but I have never been pressured into leaving saying your hours up, I have been to sushi bars where they tell you its time to leave right at 1 hour. Pretty much when your full your done. 5. I wish Jimbo the owner would open one in LA so I dont have to wait every month to fly over there. In fact bunch of my friends from work are flying over there in few weeks again. Its a tradition for me and my friends to go to Sushi house everytime were in Vegas which is every month now.

Pros: Food Quality, Price, Service

Cons: It's best to get there right at beginning of lunch time or dinner time so you dont have to wait for the sushi bar.
