The Scoop
This is one museum that is the opposite of stuffy. The many interactive pavilions, set apart by colorful hanging banners, present one of Vegas's best opportunities for hands-on fun that also encourages kids (and adults) to learn something about the physical world.
The Highlights
The Desert Discovery section provides opportunities for kids to appreciate wildlife and technology--here, you can hear environmental sounds such as coyotes and crickets while you operate pulleys, buckets and telephones as a quarry worker. Walk up the Science Stairway and enter the weather display, which shows the effects of temperature inversion, tornado twisters and dust devils.

Great day for young kids

This Museum is kid friendly. They have two seprate toddler sections. There is lots to do and see. Arts and crafts area. Hands on. A fun day with children.
