This place is very well located but they need to hire better staff. Campground is not clean, and the people are extremely rude and uneducated.

The RV park is just a paved parking lot. The bath facilities are dirty and the showers offer no privacy. It is right out in the open with almost no shade (there are a few trees that offer shade to a minimal number of spaces). There are no ameneties. You can go to the casino and restuaurants, but you can do the same with any other establishment. The park is located right next to the EMS building, so there are sirens all night long. There are people staying long term, but I have noticed they are gone most of the time, so just park their RV's and use it as storage. The location is convenient to most things.

Casino is is very friendly to Hawaii residents. Rooms are ok but the railroad noise makes sleeping difficult.

Pros: Great atmosphere for Hawaii residents.

Cons: Hard to sleep with all the noise from the railroad.

What I enjoy most about Main Street Station is the buffet. It offers so many varied choices that there is something there for everyone. I and my friends go there often and never leave dissatisfied. I'd also like to mention that Main Street Station shares a large RV Park with the California. People using the RV park can use all of the amenities provided to hotel guests. This like the buffet is nothing fancy, but it is reasonably priced and close to all thedowntown action.

My husband & I have stayed at Main Street Station and even dozen times since 1998 and we wouldn't stay anywhere else. Each time we stay it is like "coming home". The staff is the greatest, the Victorian decor is priceless, the rooms are always clean, the buffet serves a great variety of foods, daily slots tournaments, and the casino is fantastic. They have a great Gold Player Slot Club. The view at night from the strip side is gorgeous. All this within a short two blocks from The Fremont Experience and all of downtown Las Vegas!

Pros: Very Affordable, Excellent Buffet, Exceptional Staff

For those of us who really can't afford to stay on the Strip...let alone dine on the Strip...this comparatively small hotel has a wonderful buffet. The quality is good (I've had better...and far worse.) and the selection is extremely varied. You can grab a pizza, some Chinese food, have prime rib, nibble on a carrot cake, or enjoy a plate of fresh fruit. The other good thing about this "Regular Folk" buffet is the price. You can eat comfortably here for under $20 and still have money left over to play at the nickel slots. Give it a try.

Pros: decent rooms, great buffet

Cons: off the Strip
