HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!

I took my children to Vegas for the weekend. I had many "kid friendly" activities planned out. Going to visit the chocolate factory was one of them. The children were excited to get to see the factory workers making candy AS DESCRIBED ON LINE.

When we got there, THE LINE WAS CLOSED! We wandered through the factory hallway, looked at a few pictures they have posted on the wall telling a little bit about the history of the factory, looked through a large window at the conveyor that takes the chocolate from one place to another and ended at the candy /gift shop. There was one lady there with a small tray of chocolates to sample (not a variety, just one kind).

THIS ATTRACTION IS FREE FOR A REASON!! I have not seen ONE article that mentions that THIS FACTORY DOES NOT MAKE CANDIES ON THE WEEKEND!

It may be an interesting attraction during the week, BUT DO NOT WASTE A SATURDAY OR SUNDAY THERE!!

• Pros: NONE!
• Cons: Does not make candies on the weekends so visitors can't see candies being made.

Sweet tooth junkies tour this chocolate factory and walk off the free-sample calories in the cactus garden.

Guests on a self-guided tour of the factory get a behind-the-scenes look at the candy-making process as they watch their favorite caramels and creams being whipped up. Signs and television monitors help explain everything to chocoholics who are rewarded at the end of the tour with complimentary samples. Outside, guests stroll through the two-and-a-half-acre cactus garden built by family patriarch Forrest Mars. It features 350 different species of cactus and desert plants.
