bad experience
by niceenuf
I had a so-so experience with the doctor. No real time spent with me, and I was referred to another medical facility by him. But I later had real difficulty in getting a billing problem solved when I tried to deal with the billing lady. It was agreed that I could pay off the balance over time, yet within four months of the first billing, when I had paid over half the amount due, I was arbitrarily sent to collection. I felt this was unjustified and punitive because I questioned their billing practices. I also want to mention that I am not a deadbeat, I always pay all my bills, and I have an excellent credit rating, so it is my belief that the problem stems with the doctor's office.
- Pros: Difficult office
WARNING ABOUT DR CASH
by teej3
Beware of Dr Cash's family who have posted glowing reviews, and listen up from a patient/consumer's point of view: Steer clear of Dr Cash and the Desert Institute of Spine Care -- unless you wnt to suffer post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of their onerous insurance/billing schemes on top of your back pain.
Oh No, you wont need pain meds or antibiotics after SURGERY!

After my surgery, he discharged me without pain medicine OR EVEN antibiotics. I would no go to him ever again knowing what I know now.
- Pros: Um. + his office is conveniently located.
- Cons: He is arrogant, ignorant

My pain was chronic; I had suffered for over 2 years surviving by have multiple steroid injections and burnings in my neck. I had had enough. Dr. Brian Lemper referred me to Dr. Andrew Cash. During my first appointment with Dr. Cash, he performed an examination and asked me many questions about my pain and history of treatments, etc. His years of advanced education and training pinpointed my problem discs, he ordered a treatment plan and within a few weeks of my initial visit I was having my neck surgically repaired.
I was admitted into the hospital and within 24 hours was released, actually feeling pretty good. Dr. Cash spoke with my family after the procedure and checked up on me several times during my stay. The procedure was amazing. My goal was to be able to manage my acute and chronic pain by reducing the pain frequency and intensity. It is now 2 weeks after my surgery and it appears Dr. Cash has managed to meet my goals and expectations. I am thoroughly please.
Congratulations!
You earned it and you deserve it.
Best regards,

The best

I am so lucky that I found Dr. Cash, he took the time to explain all of my options and never pressured me into making a choice. Once it was decided(by me) that I would have surgery he listed all of the pros and cons out and explained exactly what to expect. I am now 5 weeks post surgery and can absolutely say that it was the best thing I could have done for myself and Dr. Cash was the best Dr. I could have had. I feel better than I thought possible already and it just keeps getting better.
His office staff is amazing and I LOVE his nurses. They are all so nice and willing and able to answer any and all questions. They took a very scary situation for me and made it easier than I ever thought it could be. I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Cash to everyone I know.
Wonderful Orthopedic Surgeon

Dr. Cash & his staff are the best. Dr. Cash took time to listen and talk to me. I never felt rushed. He was not in a hurry to push surgery giving every option available. Dr. Cash is a knowledgeable, highly skilled, caring, and friendly. His staff is equally friendly, helpful and compassionate. Having back pain and finally electing to have surgey was my best option and thankfully I had Dr. Cash. My surgery was an immediate success. I am happy to report I am pain free and back to normal activities. I would highly recommend Dr. Cash.
- Pros: Great care!
Very, very impressed!

Wow, I can't sing Dr. Cash's praises loud enough! After being in pain for years and pretty much getting used to the fact that I'd have this pain for the rest of my life, I found a Doctor that listened to me, empathized with me and most of all cured me! Just a few weeks post-surgery, I'm feeling terrific. Thanks Dr. Cash to you and your entire staff. I'm eternally grateful.
- Pros: Great staff, spends time answering questions/concerns and cured me!
Great Doctor

There are few doctors in LV, NV that are caring and willing to go the extra mile for there patents, most doctors have what i call the book-em full stop watch visits which means over book the office which means when you show up for a 9:30am appointment you do not see the doctor for 45 minutes to an hour later then your appointment was set for because he is always running late and then when you see the doctor he give each person 3 minutes then throws them out. But with Dr. Cash you have all the time to ask questions and get the answers you need to feel comfortable. his office people are great they make you feel relaxed and that you have a friend and they to answer all the questions and help you. all in all am glade i found him and i feel very confident about him cutting me open and trying to fix someone else's screw up and weather or not he can fix it i have all the confidence in him and if he fixes me fantastic if not i still trust him and will always be glade he is my doc.
- Pros: Gives you all the time to ask questions and he is always on time
- Cons: None that i have seen
Terrific Surgeon

My husband had disk fusion surgery performed by Dr. Cash and his staff this past March. The procedure lasted longer than normal but I was kept up to date on his status during the operation to lessen the worry of why it was taking so long. Dr. Cash took his time during this lengthy procedure and his efforts paid off. Kudos to his surgical team as well.
I highly recommend this physician to anyone that needs expertise in his field. He is easy to talk to, answers any and all questions you may have and explains in detail what to expect before, during and after surgery. He's congenial, reachable and takes into consideration the best course of action for his patients whether it be pain management, physical theraphy, or surgery. If I'm ever in the need of his speciality, he would be the first physician on my list. I only wish there were more doctors out there like him.
