Best Gelato outside of Italy!

I have an affinity for gelato and have been to Italy twice this year. I must say that Gelato Cafe's gelato is far superior to the gelato I had in Rome and on par with other gelatorias in Tuscany and Bergamo. The atmosphere is clean, warm and inviting. It's a great place to enjoy a "Fantasy Cup" while reading a book or taking advantage of the wireless web housed in each cafe. The music is always festive and the paninis are delish! My favorite is the shop located in the District II (Green Valley Ranch) but it's also nice to watch the gelato being made in the Desert Inn/Durango shop. That's right! The gelato is made in-house and fresh daily! No preservatives and a fraction of the fat of ice cream. Most importantly, tasting it will make you wonder why you ever wasted your time with ice cream. It's creamier and has 10 times the flavor of massly-produced ice cream. What's not to love!? I highly recommend it!

• Cons: Pricier than ice cream but worth it
