Completely mediocre food, TERRIBLE service. 1 hour limit on all you can eat, but it takes 25 minutes to get one item when the restaurant only has a few customers.
Best value and service

There are few times living in Las Vegas that you ever receive customer service, These days people barely acknowledge you much less are genuine. These folks here do a great job and are some of the most courteous people I have met in this town..Good job Sushi Zen..Two thumbs wayyyy up
- Pros: Food, Atmosphere, Service
- Cons: Wish they were open 24/7~
THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!
by lasvegasgirl1 at Citysearch
I have been eating sushi my entire life and I was also in the service industry for five years. I have never had a worse experience in my life. My boyfriend ordered the beef and chicken teryaki and the meat came out cold and plastered to the plate we said the meat was cold and the waitress argued with us saying it was not. After waiting 30 minutes for my 2 pieces of sushi and some jalepeno thing I decided to cancel my order and we were going to leave and go somewhere else. We were told we could not cancel the order and they stuck it in front of my face anyways. Seeing I was hungry after waiting I took one bite of the octopus and it was frozen. FROZEN SUSHI. the rice was the cheap kind you get with sushi from a grocery store and the smelt eggs were old and not fresh. We still want to leave but they want to charge us 35 dollars for not eating any food and then instead of talking to us call the police. And lie to the police hense never go there they stereo typed me I am a blonde 5'8 model and said they deal with people like me all the time that says something right there. I repeat never go to this sushi place!
- Pros: there are no pros
- Cons: bad service ugly place bad food
Best Restaurant in North LV!!

The staff is incredibly nice, and the restaurant was very, very clean. I was excited to be presented with a beautiful platter of sushi!!! I had a pleasurable experience, and will recommend to everyone I know.
- Pros: Very nice presentation, great service and affordable
Best deal in town

I just moved from Seattle and was worried that I would never find a great sushi bar again. But my first stop will now be my home, as the employees were very friendly and courteous. As I sat at the bar two women chefs were very helpful in helping me decide what to order. I am a very picky eater and I was blown away by the fresh taste of sushi in this desert climate!! They are very experienced and knowledgeable about their product as they were raised in Japan and had a fish market that their family had owned for over 40 years!!!
- Pros: Nice selection of fish, fresh fish, great service and fantastic appetizers
WORST SUSHI IN TOWN!!
by mvegas24 at Citysearch
WORST SUSHI IN TOWN!!There are so many choices in vegas, this should be your last stop for sushi. All rice and no fish. The menu is boring and based off of california rolls. They pre-make their rolls and let them sit around till you order. Their fish isnt very fresh either. I asked the one girl at the bar who claimed to be the manager when their fish was cut and she said ' a few days ago', I wouldn't exactly call that fresh. Also the nigiri fish was sliced so thin you could see through it, there was nothing there. Also, don't eat the chicken teriyaki. One server told me the chicken is cooked a couple weeks before then sits in the refrigerator until you order, then its microwaved and served. The honest server was the only good thing about the place.
BEST PLACE FOR YOUR NEXT SUSHI EXPERIENCE!!!!

I had a very enjoyable time at this restaurant. The atmosphere is very pleasant, has two HUGE screens to watch tv., while sitting at the bar. The sushi was delicious and it was my boyfriends first time eating sushi, but I think he loved it as much as I did!!! The service was great, the server was very patient with us even though we didn't know what to order and they were busy.. its not too often that you find such good customer service. The people are genuine and try their hardest to please their customers. Sushi Zen is my new home!!!!
- Pros: Parking, Great food, great service
Too much Rice, Not Enough Sushi, Absolutely NO ZEN
by rkkerezsi at Citysearch
If you really like rice, you will LOVE Sushi Zen because that is all that is in their sushi rolls. And their sushi menu isn't very creative. Most rolls consist of a California Roll with different meats on the outside. I came in not knowing that it was an all-you-can-eat setup. I requested two of the few rolls that contained something other than imitation crab and there was no freaking meat in the rolls. Mostly rice with carrots & such. I asked the lady sushi chef if there would have been more meat in the roll had I not been getting the all-you-can-eat deal. She replied, "Everyone always asks me that I always tell them 'No. It's the same." Well honey, there's a reason so many people ask you that question.
If I HAD to go back, I just would stay away from the rolls. The plain sushi wasn't bad.
Overall, there are so many sushi places in Vegas, there's no need to tolerate such insolance.
- Pros: Good Location
- Cons: No meat in sushi rolls
