by JINX

8/14/09 How in the hell did these people get hired here.Good grief .Dont let the $10 prime rib fool you will regret going in.Signs says seat your self..hmm ok.Then you get ignored as i sat with my 12 & 7 yr old.Half hour later a waitress appears to wait on a table that came in after us.I asked who's station we had sat in ? and then i let her have it, to her responce 'Oh esh Gregs, there he esh '.I apolijized for waking him up from his nap & reminded him he was & work .Falling a sleep with your head up your a.. must be so comforting. This jack a.. didnt want anything to do with me & walked away to tend another table.I showed my self out to the front desk & gave the vampent, empty ,headed so called mngr both barrels. She offerd no solution, resolution, compensation excuses only.Check your roster for this knight Marino you will see who im talking about. What a disgrace to the name i let her know.It was my faulght she didnt staff accordingly to her work flow & had no clue what the hell the associates on the floor were doing. She in no way is mngmnt material. You get what you pay for mngmnt & $10 prime rib ,might be horse meat.

I am disappointed Dan Marino would put his name on this.

by et88

Dan Marino was a great quarterback but that doesn't translate into success for this restaurant. The service was the worst I have ever had. Our waiter barely spoke English and was less then enjoyable. The ice water was undrinkable even with lemon squeezed in it. I ordered a BLT which I would think is impossible to mess up and it came out with a gnat on the lettuce. The manager seemed annoyed to help me resolve this problem. When my food was re-made it came back with no fries and there was guacamole all over the sandwich from the knife that was used to cut it in half. I could not eat anything there after this. Another member of our party ordered a caesar salad with chicken which came out to our table with no chicken. Then the chicken came out after we notified our waiter of the problem and the chicken was obviously burnt and overcooked. Gratuity was also included at 18% for our party of 6 which was not even close to being deserved by our waiter. I had to pay for our dinner and then go out to eat somewhere else. This is by far the worst dining experience I have ever had and I will never set foot in that restaurant again.

Boring breakfast buffet

by Jenna1070899

The breakfast "buffet" was very average; it was a tiny spread and for $10/head it really isn't worth it. That said, the food was fresh and hot, so it isn't terrible, just not memorable. It had scrambled eggs only (but they were nice), fatty sausages and bacon, and waffles, which was all the hot food they offered. Fruit platters were very nice; no pancakes or crepes; no toast or spreads; no real attention to detail. Service was okay; not bad. Vegas has plenty of buffets (it seems every hotel has one) and since you can often get 1/2 price tickets at the vendors on the strip, I would give this a miss.

  • Pros: Food was fresh
  • Cons: Boring buffet with little selection

Great food as a reasonable price

by crujones26

We try to eat at Dan Marino's every time we are in Vegas, it is simply the best food for the price in town. I would call it a "nice-casual" restaurant--it does have several plasma tv's playing sports, but it is not an overly loud place. The menu is varied--steaks, seafood, pasta, ribs, so there is something for everyone. The prime rib is excellent, almost as good as Lawry's, and the All-You-Can-Eat baby back ribs are to die for. Most of the entrees are in the $15-$20 range and come with 1-2 sides. If you have room, the desserts are also very good. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. In a town with so many over-priced places to eat, Dan Marino's stands out for serving quality food at a reasonable price.

  • Pros: Great Food, Reasonable Prices, Friendly Wait Staff

Upscale but unpretentious, this Hall of Famer's restaurant elevates the dining experience beyond its Hooters Hotel location.

by Ryan Slattery

In Short
Marino's is the swankiest restaurant at Hooters, but its décor and menu won't intimidate the sports nuts and couples who dine there. The exhibition kitchen, dark woods and exposed stonework are classy, but there's also a counter vending collectible footballs and helmets. The menu starts with pub-style appetizers such Maryland crab cakes, Buffalo chicken fingers and Thai chicken wraps. Other options range from sandwiches and salads to bacon-wrapped meatloaf, filet mignon and nut-crusted mahi-mahi.
