This is a great Spa. I am not into the casino/resort experience where you feel rushed and have a revolving door feeling. The staff is warm and welcoming. The massages are wonderful and I had had massages at some of the best spas around the world. I've had the facials which are great. I am looking for a relaxing experience which is exactly what I get. I would highly recommend the expereience. The atmosphere in Desert Shores is really nice. I'd liken it to Southern CA when you are on the patio.

<Signature Yon-Ka Facial (80min)> I was looking for a good deep cleanse and extraction for my face and couldn't find many local recommendations online. I don't mind spending the hundred dollars or so, if it is worth it, but this was nothing more than just a relaxing soothing experience rather than a cleansing healthy experience for my skin. It came with a complimentary leg & foot treatment which was kind of nice. The booties cramped my feet a little (I'm a size 8.5 shoe) and afterwards I had to clean off all the residual dried up white cream on my legs and toes (I was wearing shorts and sandals). The facial is described as "deep pore cleansing" and I even mentioned that I was looking forward to the deep extraction, especially for my nose area, but when the time came, the girl cleaned out only half a dozen pores. I saw no difference in my skin (no brightness, clogged pores remaining everywhere). Perhaps this place is better for their massages; the receptionist I talked to loved them but had never had a facial there. The overall experience was really pleasant: friendly greeting at door with cookies on the counter, soothing music, comfortable warm bed, nice smelling treatments and relaxing experience overall, but a bit expensive for just a "nice time." Perhaps it would have been worth it if they had a steam room/sauna or lounge. Anyone know a good deep cleanse facial in town please let me know =)

Pros: pleasant smelling treatments and massage

Cons: facial does not do any deep cleansing, saw no results in skin

I didn't get a chance to use this spa myself but I had to arrange a spa visit for 2 out-of-town guests and they enjoyed themselves very much. The staff didn't push their products on you and the owner was very friendly and accommodating, sharing with them her future plans for the space. Compared to the Strip Spa prices, Lakeside's pricing was excellent. My guests definitely will come back and next time, I think I'll go with them!

This was the best spa ever. We were a group of 8 from nyc who came for a bachelorette party. We wanted a relaxing saturday afternoon and that is exactly what we got. From the moment I called to make reservations, Paula ( the owner of the place) was very helpful and accomodating. She set up a spa lunch day, which included a limo pick up from our hotel on the strip to setting up lunch to have by the back patio. We all had a variety of different treatments, which included massages, facials, body wraps and foot reflexology. Everyone was very satisfied with the services they got. The therapists all did a great job. And the prices... amazing!Definitely would come to vegas just for the spa at lakeside.

Pros: What a Deal!

Cons: Not on the strip

It's such a pretty drive coming into Desert Shores, and the staff here really is top-notch. Any time I call, they find a way to squeeze me in when it fits with my schedule, and the menu of services is incredible! I love the fact there's NO nail salon here to put that "acrylic nail" smell in the air when I'm trying to relax...they always have a special of the month and at $60 for a 50 minute massage, they're the best value in town with the most skilled massage therapists...

Editor's Review

Massages include Swedish, therapeutic, stone and pre- or postnatal, plus facials, waxing, and scrubs in a tranquil Desert Shores setting.  See the full editorial review.
