User Reviews for Bartolotta Ristorante di Mare at Wynn Las Vegas

5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

I strongly disagree with the bad reviews of this restaurant. I am from Milwaukee and have eaten at all the other Bartolotta establishments. We ate here in Sept 2007 and this place by far, blew them all out of the water! My husband and I tried the seasonal tasting menu and both walked away saying it was one of the best meals we ever had. Not only that you get to try a little bit of everything! Our waiter was from Italy so it felt like an authentic experience. We ate outside, had great views and was very romantic!

Pros: Waiter was from Italy. An authentic experience

I have been in lots of expensive restaurants but this restaurant is a ripoff. I was at a business conference in Las Vegas and went in alone for dinner. As a single female I felt like the waiter was condescending from the first moment when his explanation of the menu was, "the cheapest thing I have is $55 for the fish." You have to buy a whole fish!! He then asked if I wanted a glass of wine, red or white, light or heavy, I said red and heavy. He walked away saying, "I will take care of it." I assumed he would make a favorite recommendation. He didnt. He just brought me a 3 oz pour and didnt even bother to tell me what it was. I had to ask, and he said "it is an Italian cabernet, Italian is all we serve here" in a snooty voice. I had a small salad ($18.00) and an appetizer of cheese ravioli ($15.00). When the bill came the 3 oz pour was a whopping $25.00!! Not recommended for single women, or people who want value. And the food was good but a very poor value for the money. Even the touted atmosphere was stuffy and seating of other guests was too close for comfort. I saw another couple get up and leave before they even ordered. I wish I had done the same.

Pros: Lakeview

Cons: Service, Value

I frequent Las Vegas and am from Orange County/Los Angeles and have been to many of the finest restaurants all over the country. I have to say that Bartotolla is one of the best places I have ever eaten. I have had the same server everytime I have been there and he is fabulous. I highly suggest eating on the outdoor patio if weather is warm enough, it is absolutely gorgeous. The wine list is exceptional and the food is possibly some of the best in Vegas, second only maybe to Craftsteak at the MGM. I could not recommend this restaurant more highly.

Pros: food, outdoor seating, dining room, wine list, service.

Cons: must have reservation

Having been to Bartolottas Lake Park Bistro in Milwaukee a few times on business, I decided to dine at Ristorante di Mare in Vegas. As someone who doesn't mind spending a buck on a great experience, I have never felt more empty and insulted as I did after eating here. Please Bartolottas Restaurant Group - save your name here!! It will not reflect well on your wonderful establishments in Milwaukee.... Ok, you can see some interesting fish that most restaurants don't serve. If you want to see exotic fish - I suggest going to an aquarium. The real kicker is that the fish isn't prepared well. An octopus fish app was way too citrus flavored and more rubbery than shoe leather. The cuttlefish was decent, but not enough crispy char and char flavor (the menu claims charcoal). The rigatoni pasta course was good for the price. I regret splitting the pasta with the person I dined with. The whole fish prep is very expensive for the exotic fish. I thought it would be a devine experience to taste a species I haven't had before, but it wasn't. The deserts were tasty and bueatifully presented. If I would have had a better app, a whole pasta course, and a desert, I would have felt better about getting kicked in the behind with the check. Unfortunately, I do not recommend any fish here. If you want a good whole fish prep, check out one of the better Greek restaurants. The service (greeter, seater, server, sommelier) was professional and the dining room and courtyard are absolutely breath taking.

Pros: Dining Room, Patio, Service

Cons: Fish Dishes

I strongly do not recommend this restaurant. I am from the Milwaukee area where the Bartolotta Restaurant's originated. I am a regular at the Bartolotta's here in Milwaukee. Upon visiting Las Vegas, my mother and I dined at Ristorante Bartolotta. It was the worst meal I ever had. We both ordered the lobster which must have been cooked in some sort of cleaning solution because it tasted like cleaning solution. Later that night I became violently ill from the restaurant. We immediately called the restaurant that night as well as everyday that week because we got the run around from the staff and were never able to talk to the manager. I strongly do not recommend this restaurant however if you do visit the Milwaukee area, I do recommend dining at Bacchus or Lake Park Bistro.

Cons: Horrible food.

The whole experience was terrible. Do not go unless you are a masochist. We seek out and enjoy amazing restaurants from NYC to L.A. and this place is just a charade. I felt more like I was in line at the DMV. We got the distinct impression that they survive on one-time out-of-towner clients. Our waiter disappeared and did not even check on us after the food arrived. Nobody asked, but the food was average at best and absurdly priced. We felt violated.

Very fresh seafood that was amazing. Chef Bartolotta came out and explained every kind of fresh seafood we had questions about. This is family style dining like in Italy and will take a few hours to get through the meal. The scallops and octapus salad is a must. Desserts are fabulous if you still have room for them at the end of your meal. We sat on the patio which was perfect and heated for early March. Expensive but definately worth it. Must like seafood and not be afraid to have dinner looking at you. Service was very good and friendly.

Pros: Amazing food, great outside seating

Cons: A bit pricy and cost of food is done oddly ($ per ounce)

Service was outstanding and the scallop appetizer was to die for... the rest of the food was decent, but more average than I expected. Definitely a nice restaurant worth visiting but not in the top ten and not offering much value. We had a party of 9 and the check was wheeled out on cart at the end. Kind of entertaining.

Pros: Ambience, service

Cons: food quality

We were cruisin' the Wynn trying to find a place to have a late dinner and my fiance wanted Italian, so we thought we'd try Bartolotta. We started off with a bottle of wine from their extensive wine list. I ordered from the appetizer pasta list and the portion was plenty. The linguine with clams was to die for! My fiance had the lamb which he was very pleased. Service was excellent and the ambiance was equally pleasing. We would definitely go back!

Pros: Food, Ambiance, wine list
