thoroughly enjoyed my shopping experience. got a great car, great price, friendly no pressure staff, and got some good tips on everything from car refinancing to window tints freely. this is car shopping like it ought to be. everyone pays the same sticker price--what a concept!
Nation's largest used car retailer takes the haggling out of the car-buying experience.

In Short
Instead of pushing for commission, each salesperson makes the same amount of money, so the sticker price really is the sticker price. Each of the 300-400 SUVs, vans, light trucks and cars on site undergoes an extensive inspection (flood, frame, odometer checks included) and reconditioning before they are ready to sell. Plus, CarMax will make a cash offer on your vehicle that's good for a week, whether you buy from them or not.
Sold me a lemon!

I bought a car at Carmax on East Sahara that was supposedly relaible. Three years and about $4,000 worth of work later, nearly every major system on the car has needed to be replaced and it's spent 27 days in the shop--alas, just three short of lemon law qualification. Fortunately, I had a warranty. However, toward the end, whenever something went wrong, the mechanics would repair it just enough to keep it going for another week, apparently hoping to stall off the major breakdown until after it expired, but also meaning I had to bring the car in three times in less than a month. Also, I had an exhaust problem for about a year and kept asking them to look at it. They wouldn;t. Finally, they told me what was wrong--waiting until 82 miles after the manufacture's warranty expired. If they'd told me any of the 6-8 times I'd brought it in during the previous year, I wouldn't have had to pay for it. I cannot reiterate enough: Those who say this company sells good cars have merely been lucky.

CARMAX NIGHTMARE BEGINS ONLY FOUR MONTHS AFTER A $14,000.00 PURCHASE INCLUDING FULL 36 MONTH Bumper to Bumper WARRANTY. BUYER BEWARE!!! We bought a 2001 6 cylinder Ford Mustang. within 4 months the differential threw a bolt creating havoc in the rear-end housing. CarMax told us they were back logged two weeks worth and that we should take it to The nearest certified Ford service facility as stated in their brochure and extended warranty instructions, which we did. CarMax after the fact refused to pay the full amount and DEMANDED WE PAY half of the diagnostic and repair costs despite their BUMPER TO BUMPER Warranty because they did not like the Ford certified repair facilities price. Corporate told me, and I quote we are not under obligation to fulfil our warranty if we feel we are not getting a fair price. the consumer is left to gamble on whether the certified dealership authorized by CarMax is going to be accepted by them AFTER the fact of the work done! Note: the Ford service facility guaranties their parts and labor for 36 months as opposed to CarMax' 12 Months. Maybe that's why they charge more - quality workmanship. Our vehicle is still being held hostage by CarMax' non authorization to pay the full amount to the Ford Service facility that also services the U.S. Air forces Ford Manufactured vehicles from Nellis Air Force Base and other prominent Local Las Vegas business vehicles. If you buy from CarMax I recommend you reserve extra money to help pay for the repairs they promise to pay for, if they refer you to another facility. Oh by the way if you ask them to recommend one they might tell you what they told me, we cannot by law recommend one, go to the nearest Ford service facility, which is what started this nightmare because that??s what we did.
No haggle, no pressure, 5 day money back guarantee for used vehicles by Hernan B. at InsiderPages

Huge selection, no-haggle price is stated on their ads on their website and their car lot. Test drove a car in LAX location and left the dealership with no pressure to buy. Ended up buying a car from their Las Vegas dealership. Actually bought the car over the phone and flew in to sign the paper work and drive the car home.
Once you buy, you have 30 days to decide if you want to buy extended warranty.
If purchasing a used car, they have a 5-day money back guarantee. I don't believe there's any other dealership in California that you can do this.
If financing, I suggest getting a pre-approved loan from other institution prior to making a purchase.
