Their coupon offer is a scam!!

by Rae Odell

Immediately before being seated, we let the establishment know we had their most recent coupon offer which was to reduce our tab by $25; however, they told us we had to sit at the bar in order to receive the discount The four of us complied and the 4 of us complied and dined at the bar as per their requirements; however, when it came time to pay our bill...they would not honor our coupon!!! It's a total scam and very humliating!! I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone again. Shame on you Todds!! Don't offer deals you cannot afford to honor.

  • Pros: Non.
  • Cons: They don't offer their coupon offers!

Best service, excellent food

by annyc

We eat at Todd's often, being locals, and have NEVER had a bad meal or experience there. The seafood (my choice) is always fresh and perfect and the meat entrees (my husband's choice) is always succulent and perfectly prepared. We are visited at the table by Todd almost every time we go there, which makes us feel really special. We have always been treated well and had a GREAT meal. Easy to get there, easy to enjoy.

  • Pros: Parking, Service, Seating, Food, you name it, it's good
  • Cons: none

The Best Food in an unlikely spot!

by mishottie

I found Todd's from searching the Citysearch website and, even though it was a litle drive from the strip where we were staying, it was well worth it. It was about a 10 minute drive toward Henderson and it resides in a little strip mall and you know that it is a locals place, because otherwise you probably wouldn't know about it. Ashley was our server and offered great advice and suggestions from the menu. We skipped the appetizer as we had a late lunch and expected the portions to be adequate and we were right.

My husband had the ahi tuna with mashed potatoes - it was wonderful. I had the kobe skirt steak on fire with chili cheese fries - what a unique combination and it was delicious!

The service was excellent!

The wine list was very good - I had a couple of unique martinis that were delicious and we had a wonderful dessert. This competes with anything on the strip for much less $$$$.

The ambience was charming and quaint, but if we wanted to be impressed with design we would have paid 2 or 3 times as much and dined in one of the overpriced restaurants in the big hotels.

It was a nice diversion and worth the little jaunt!

  • Pros: Excellent service and delicious entrees!
  • Cons: In a strip mall 10 minutes from the strip.

Amazing food and great service

by westie2

On Wednesday nights Todd?s waives the usual $15 corkage charge so I brought along a bottle of cabernet sauvignon. On our arrival we were disappointed to learn our favorite server had departed for parts unknown, but ?Sunny?, our new favorite server, proved to be both appropriately named and equally efficient. We started off with a basket of delicious homemade breads. We decided to share a watermelon salad that included pepitas, cayenne, lime juice and feta cheese - an amazing mixture of flavors. We each chose the fresh teriyaki halibut entree served over coconut rice and bok choy, but Todd has reworked the recipe to include fingerling potatoes plus baby carrots and sugar peas. This ended up making this fabulous dish even better. Near the conclusion of the meal Todd came over to our table and thanked us for our continuing patronage.

  • Pros: Seasonal seafood, personal attention
  • Cons: None

In Short
Guests are greeted by a tightly-packed dining room of simple wooden tables and comfortable booths beneath decorative archways. An L-shaped, full-service bar with upholstered high-back chairs and a small television set take up one corner of the restaurant. Main courses are led by seared wild sockeye salmon seasoned with tart lemon shallot sauce with a tiny mound of delicate steamed rice, and fork-tender braised short ribs with creamy, jalapeno-dotted mashed potatoes.

We recently celebrated our anniversary at Todd's and could not have been more pleased. The Kung Pao Shrimp appetizer was fabulous, and as for the Short Ribs...they are absolutely addictive. The service was great, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We'll be coming here often!

  • Pros: The Food is wonderful
  • Cons: A little more casual than some places, but very pleasant

Perfect Dining Experience in Vegas!!!

by skirtsteak

On the first night of our vacation, my wife and I decided to go to an Off-Strip restaurant. Our friends (who just visited) recomended Todd's Unique Dining. We went there thinking it'd be a OK dining experience, but it wasn't it was Perfect. The service, the food, the Atmosphere, (Non-Smoking by the way) it was all just as we wanted. It was espiecally romantic.

We first started out with some Apps. I had the Asain Dumplings, they were perfectly cooked. They were so tender they melted right in your mouth. My wife had the Malaysian BBQ Shrimp, cucumber salad and Johnny cakes, they were just as spicy as our waitress told us it would be. Yumm...

With our appitizers out of the way we decided to have our Entrees. We has the Skirtsteak and the Short ribs. The Skirtsteak was very spicy and also very good. The Short ribs were so tender it fell apart in my mouth, the blend of it all was perfect. This is our best meal off AND on the strip... I highly recomend this restaurant if you want to have a romantic, fabulous, and PERFECT dining experience this is the place to go. It is the Best in Vegas and the best all over. It was even better when Chef Todd came out to greet our table. That was a nice suprise! To think that he cares so much about his restaurant he checks on the tables... This was very good... I will definitely be back...

  • Pros: Service, food, atmosphere
  • Cons:  That we couldn't dine here every night

A wonderful evening!

by jimkovalsky

My wife and I ate at Todd's our first night in Vegas. We wanted something different and delicious and NOTHING could have been better. Our server, Marc, was perfectly attentive with dead-on recommendations. The place was hopping, but our appetizers and entrees came out promptly and beautifully presented. Most important, of course, was the taste! ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! We started with the Asian Dumplings and the Kung Pao Scallops - both were wonderfully unique.

We had the Skirt Steak and the Flat Iron Steak -- both extremely tender and cooked exactly as ordered. The Skirt Steak was very spicy, just like Marc told us -- exactly what I was looking for. The Flat Iron was delicious, too, with great fresh veggies and an excellent twice-baked potato. We couldn't finish either dinner, and we told ourselves "No Dessert".. NOT!

Marc dropped off the dessert menu, and the Creme Brulee called to my wife, and the bing cherry cobbler was beyond my limit of temptation. It seems that every course here just gets better than the ones before... The cobbler was perfect -- sweet, with full cherries, and great vanilla bean ice cream. The Creme Brulee was BY FAR the best we've ever had -- the carmelized sugar on the top perfection, bringing that perfectly toasted marshmallow taste to mind, and the custard underneath was so light and perfect.

This is by far the best meal we've had out in a LONG TIME -- Todd's is a MUST if you have the chance!

The prices are more than fair, the portions are great, and the quality can't be beat! The specialty drinks were excellent too -- we tried the Pom-a-tini (a pomegranite martini) and a white chocolate rasperry martini -- both delicious!

As a couple, each of us had a drink, appetizer, entree, and dessert, and the bill was just under $100 -- AN ABSOLUTE BARGAIN for what we got!

Call and make a reservation -- go have a great meal, and then you'll find yourself writing the next review!

  • Pros: Everything we tried was FANTASTIC
  • Cons: I couldn't eat anymore!
