The younger Asian guy that works pretty much everyday that I have ever been there is a D#$%. He is extremely rude and laughed at the thought of me writing a negative review. Altlantic tropical fish store off of Rock springs, right by lake mead is the best store in vegas. They are very helpful and SPEAK ENGLISH. Lucky fish store is only looking to rip there customer off and not help the customer find what they need. I have worked in the fish business for 11 years and lived in four different states now and this is BY FAR THE WORST STORE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO AND WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE> WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN TOWN
Pros: FLOWERhorn are nice but expensive
Cons: EVERYTHING ELSE. ASIAN GUY IS A AS#

This store by far exceeds expectations when it comes to freshwater exotic fish and salt water corals. These people working in this store are very informative and experienced. They have Bi Lingual spanish employees that have knowledge and skills to serve anyone. These guys are always very patient and courteous to everyone. This store also by far is the cleanest in town. You never see dead fish or dirty tanks. They are always maintaining there tanks. This store is always open also. They are open seven days a week. It makes it very convenient for everyone. Some of these stores cant compete with this store by far. Thanks

Coral selection is second only to a few Socal and Norcal coral specific stores. Asked owner about more saltwater fish selection, and he said he will increase as demand increases. Best corals in Vegas. Customer service was good IMO. Also specialize in rare and exotic freshwater fish. No Petco stuff here. Lots of awesome livestock in a small place. Clean tanks and competitive prices. Not the biggest or nicest store, but I shop for quality not ambience. Some of the smallest hole in the wall places have the best stuff.

While i can say that the fish are of a good quality with a decent selection(I can think of two other stores with better selections, they being FISH and Atlantis), the customer service is abysmal. I really dont think i should have to go to the counter an ask or help if I am obviously going to buy fish. The guy just stood there and watched me, then stared into space. When I started asking him questions as is my normal procedure to get a feel about how experienced he was, he was very distracted and short with his answers, leaving me no idea how experienced he was. I finally left after observing the tupperwear on the floor with fish in them, there must have been 20 of those containers there. I can understand the lack of space necessitates certain actions, but come on, their store looked downright cruddy, and amateur, though I am sure they are not due to some beautiul coral tanks. Overall i would only visit if they were the only store who had what i needed, and even then i wouldbe wary.
Pros: Adequate selection.
Cons: small, cramped, and cruddy service.

The person who wrote the first review must not know much about fish. I have been buying fish from Lucky trop. for years now, with no disease problems. baby fish are prone to catching all types of diseases, bacterial infections, & very porne to catching parasites. Ick is not caused by bacteria, it's caused by a parasite. The white dots are Cysts, and ick takes about a week to cause these cysts. So unless the fish she got from Lucky were in her tank for more than a week, it's unlikely they brought the parasite into her tank. Yes it's a small shop, but most of the fish they have are hard to find. The service stinks, and it's far from where I live too, but I havent been driving across town for over three years now for nothing.
Pros: Hard to find fish
Cons: small shop

Living all the way out in Henderson already limits our selection of quality fish stores, so when me and my husband set out one saturday afternoon for fish, we didnt quite expect a such journey. After driving from basically Lake Mead & the 215 all the way out to Spring Mountain Rd & Decatur, we were happy to finally find a fish store with some decent fish. We purchased 2 and headed back home. 3 days later, my original baby fish in my tank began to just lay around on the rock floor. Knowing a bit about fish, I knew this was a bad sign. The next day, my fish are covered in white dots, ICK! I have not purchased fish in at least 4 years for this very fear, and after such a long journey for fish I am devistated that my baby fish, whom in which were breed naturally in my tank by adults that passed away recently of old age. Now THIS FISH STORE HAS GIVEN MY TANK ICK!!!!! THIS IS THE WORST THING THAT COULD POSSIBLY HAPPEN TO YOUR FISH! Once the white dots are visibile the bacteria is already working its "magic" and we can do nothing to help them but wait till the dots fall off. THEN those dots could possible respawn and reform AGAIN!!!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!! THIS IS HORRIBLE! And now they wont do anything beacuse its after the 48 hour window. I knew there was something wrong with their water. When we got it home it was completely discolored from our water! What a disaster!
Pros: It was open on Sunday.
Cons: Their fish came with a disease called ICK, their selection was horrible, customer service lacked, location not easy to get to, ruined my 4 yr running fish ecocsystem

I like this store they have the best selection and lowest price than any other store. You can also ask for special order any fish you want. Worth to visit before you buy and they can also price match even beat out competitor's price
