Excellent Italian food at a great price!
by FoxyM
My fiancé and I went to Giorgio’s for dinner and it was definitely the best place for a romantic and unforgettable experience. I had an impeccable dining experience with exquisite and artistic presentation in an inviting and vibrant atmosphere. Giorgio’s stylish modern décor offers a complete setting for any occasion. We sat in their fine dining room and it was perfect for a formal experience. The food was delicious! Giorgio's had an extensive wine list and the service was impeccable. For our appetizer, we had the Bruschetta and Antipasto. They were both fantastic! For our entrées we had the Chicken Cannelloni which was by far the best thing I have ever had! My fiancé ordered the Veal Scaloppine with Parmigiana sauce and he loved it so much that he ate everything on his plate. With every course we became more impressed with the food, both in taste and presentation. I would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys traditional Italian dishes.
- Pros: Best priced Italian food in town.
- Cons: None

Las Vegas Biggest Culinary Secret

I found this restaurant by accident, walking through the Mandalay Place shopping area. I was pleasantly surprised. This is not a typically upscale stuffy restaurant with all style and no substance.
The service was polite friendly, and fast. The food was incredible from start to finish. For starters I had a shrimp scampi unlike any I have ever had before. Since that first time, I have brought friends with me and this appetizer is hands down the best scampi in town.
The pasta was cooked to perfection not over or under cooked but a perfect al dente. Our waiter recommended the pappardelle pasta, he said the sauce was the chefs own creation. The recommendation was solid, and I have never had this sauce before, it was perfect. My buddy was in the mood for a steak but was not impressed with the steak on the menu. To our surprise this restaurant has many things not on the menu that can be had. He enjoyed a tenderloin, again, cooked perfectly.
I love wines, especially Italian whites. The list at Giorgio was excellent, I enjoyed a bottle of Falanghina at a reasonable price. It was nice to even find this wine on the list.
I asked where they got their bread and was told they have a bakery in house and bake their own, as well as making their own sauces and desserts.
All in all a wonderful experience. I love to eat out, and this is now one of my favorites in Las Vegas. The most surprising aspect of this restaurant is the price. I have had meals of comprable quality with less quantity and nowhere near the service at twice the price in this city.
Do your self a favor and check this hidden jewel out.

Great Location

We were shopping over the weekend at the Mandalay Place and stopped into Giorgio for some lunch. The food was awesome...had a margarita pizza that was cooked to perfection. I also had some gelato for dessert...very smooth and delicious. The service was also great! And very conveneient to the valet...not a hassle at all and you do not have to walk through the entire hotel/casino to get there. Thanks Giorgio!
Pleasantly surprised...

I went here on a Saturday afternoon (roughly 3:30 PM) because everything else was closed at Mandalay Bay. I was leery at first simply because of Giorgio's location: it's effectively in a "mall." We were promptly seated and our orders came farily quickly. The bitter greens salad (radicchio, endive, arugula and shaved parmesan) was great, as were the Insalata Caprese and butternut squash ravioli. The waiter was even able to accomodate a special request for fresh fruit as a dessert -- the raspberries tasted like they had been picked just minutes prior! The prices were reasonable and the service was attentive. On my way out, I noticed that Giorgio was part of the Piero Selvaggio restaurant group, which includes Valentino in Santa Monica (previously rated by Zagat as one of the best Italian restaurants in Los Angeles.)
- Pros: Good food, good service, reasonable prices.
- Cons: None that I can think of.
Good lunch spot with pleasant bar staff
by jcc37000
I had lunch at the bar, a chicken parm sandwich and a few mixed drinks. Overall the bartender was great, and very pleasant. while the portion was not huge, it was good for lunch and tasted great. My two GG Greyhounds were nice and strong. Recommended for a quick lunch or break from the casino.
- Pros: Lunch, Quality of food, Bar Staff
- Cons: Smaller Portions
A Very Good Experience.

There are at least 3 separate dining sections offering the same menu and prices so we opted for the more intimate back room. We shared a pretty good Caesar salad and each ordered the evenings special of seared escolar with green peppercorn and heirloom tomato sauce accompanied by pencil asparagus and butternut squash. The esocolar was moist and the accompanying sauce was incredible. Service was casual, but competent given the number (few) customers in our immediate section.
- Pros: Variety of dining areas, casual
- Cons: None
Slickly presented, authentic Italian cuisine served at remarkably affordable prices in this Mandalay Bay trattoria.

In Short
The environment is hip and casual, with a gelato stand and plasma-screen TVs. A beautiful Italian-glass bar catches your eye as you enter. Entrees are surprisingly affordable, considering the evident quality and authenticity of the cuisine. After an aperitif of prosecco, settle down with a thin-crust pizza or a sea bass filet. The rigatoni with fresh mozzarella, tomato and basil deserves a glass of Barbara d' Asti.
