Major Security issues - rooms are being burglarized
by Topenga
For those Las Vegas lovers, stay away from THEhotel. Regardless of the deals you might get there, being burglarized will definitely ruin your stay.
I was there recently and had my $10, 000 ring stolen from my purse, which was inside my closed luggage. When I called the front desk, manager, risk management, I was blamed for not using the safe. I only went to the pool for a couple of hours. I was not anticipating to be violated - to have a stranger break into my room, go through my belongings and steal my wedding ring.
They also implied that I misplaced my ring. The staff's attitude was indifferent and atrocious to say the list.
They could have cared less that I had my ring stolen from their room. Did not even ask me to describe the ring, or to give them any other details (when it happened, etc). I know that customer service is non-existant these days - after all they don't pay the staff enough to care. Instead they hire any criminal that will work for minimum wage. There is not security in this place.
The only security guard I was more interested in the food area than protecting the paying guests.
They consider themselves a luxury hotel. What good is a nice looking hotel if the employees are theives, unprofessional and uncaring? I want my ring back at the end of your so called "investigation". By the way, their investigation takes a week. What a joke!!! By now my ring has exchanged many hands. Some pawn owner is happy with the profit he made on his buy.
By the way, I'm not the only person with this experience at THEhotel.
- Pros: Nice suites
- Cons: Staff theft, bad customer service, not enough pool chairs
THE Hotel is a winner
by CSMobileUser
THE Hotel has some of the nicest guest rooms in town and are competitively priced. I find a lower standard of customer service than expected. Not nearly as good as Four Seasons but not as expensive either
Good customer service and comfortable rooms

7 of my friends and I this past weekend went to Las Vegas (it was my first time). We knew we wanted to stay at a hotel that was aimed toward our generation (early to mid 20s). The palms and hardrock were very expensive (it was labor day weekend FYI). For 3 nights, it came out to an average of 309 a night per room, which I think its quite inexpensive. We stayed in THEsuite with a living room and 2 bed bedroom. Very comfortable beds and bathrobe. Bathroom was VERY impressive with SUNKEN tub, stand up shower, separate toilet and huge sink area. The room was a 5/5 without a doubt. The only bad part is the hotel's entrance is underground which was alittle odd and THEHotel is so far from the pool, easily a 15 minute walk. Room service took on average about 40 minutes which was expected, but everything was still pipping hot when it came.
The best restaurant I ate in was in the little mall between the Mandalay Bay and the luxor called Burger Bar. Probably the best burgers ever so thats a place to stop and eat.
Next time I visit Vegas ill try to stay somewhere else not because I didnt like the Mandalay Bay but because I want to experience more of Las Vegas.
- Pros: Ambience, Price, Quality, Bars, Pool with Beach
- Cons: Far from Pool, Underground Entrance
Had a great stay at THE HOTEL
by ny516
When my friends and I first got to THE HOTEL, we were really happy to see that the lobby wasn't overly busy but meanwhile the Mandalay Bay casino and several of the other resorts were in easy walking distance. The staff got us checked in right away and the room was great. The room was very hip and modern: TVs, beds, and bathrooms were awesome and there was plenty of space. When we got to the room we found that the TV remote wasn't working so I informed the front desk and they had a new remote for us in minutes. Overall, I'd recommend THE HOTEL to anyone visiting Vegas.
- Pros: Great rooms and service
- Cons: Views from some of the rooms rooms aren't great (not all)
Nothing special with THE garage entrance
by mika68
This was not my first neither my last trip to Las Vegas, but definitely the first and the last stay at THE Hotel. Having stayed in Mandalay, Bellagio and Wynn we thought to try THE hotel as it sounded really promising on paper. THE reality - it is a dark, mediocre hotel with a very weird entrance from the garage. There is no other entrance to this hotel, right from the parking lot! Greenish glass used to build this hotel makes you look like you were dead in your room in a daylight. Believe me, it was not b/c of the heavy drinking the night before. Customer service is bad. In order to get message from the receptionist, one have to stand the long line of people checking it, and when asked for room service your coffee ($17.00) arrives lukewarm 20 min later.
If you are thinking to use the spa, make sure you are OK with expensive mediocre services and an attitude from personnel.
There are definitely better hotels in Las Vegas!
I will never stay anywhere else in Vegas

Excellent experience. Staff was very helpful. Since we were there on our honeymoon our room was upgraded to a V suite for free. The view was top notch and there was nothing to complain about. I lost my debit card on the trip and the front desk was very helpful - they called all of the places I visited that day and put me in touch with their security departments. We loved that their was no casino in the hotel, but we did not have go outside to reach 2 casinos. Highly recommend!
Pleasant Surprise at South End of Strip!
by newstome
I was apprehensive to try this hotel due to its location and some negative reviews about its service. However, those fears were unfounded because I had a wonderful four-night stay. The service was excellent every time, and we were even provided some extras such as an upgraded room upon request. The Bathhouse Spa was clean, comfortable, and professional. The rooms are also clean, well maintained, and the housekeeping staff did a great job during my stay. We even requested extra pillows and were given a choice of type of pillow. The hotel has a hip vibe yet is a pleasantly relaxing contrast to the din of the casino next door. "Views" are limited unless you are on an upper floor facing the Strip, because the Luxor blocks the Strip view of the lower half of this side of the property. The other side faces the desert. That means 3/4 of the hotel doesn't have good views, so be prepared to pony up if that's important to you. The negatives are the locaton and the unglamorous approach through a parking garage. The location is NOT what you want if you love the Central Strip -- you'll spend plenty of time in taxis or on foot getting to where you want to go. However, the taxi line outside The Hotel was quick, and there were taxis on que at all hours (including 5am). This is not always the case next door at Mandalay Bay, where I have stood in line for 15-20 minutes on the weekend for a cab. Also, there is lots to do at Mandalay Bay if you are able to resist the call of the central Strip. Mandalay Place has some mall-ish shopping (It's no Forum Shops for sure), there are 3 spas and a giant pool complex onsite, the casinos at MB and Luxor are both close, and there are tons of lounges and great restaurants. As for the arrival via parking garage -- it is what it is. It lacks the glamour of an arrival at Bellagio or Ceasar's or even the Wynn. It is more like pulling up curbside at the airport. Overall, it was a superior property and I would stay here again.
- Pros: Chic property!
- Cons: Location, Garage Arrival
GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICES

- Cons: parking is hard to get to the hotel had to walk around but will find it.
Great Rooms
by ambrosgela
The Mandalay Bay is truly a wonderful Vegas getaway, with everything you know and love about Vegas. The rooms were outstanding, the casino is pretty much what you would expect (no low table limits) and the pool area is amazing. It's only downfall is the fact that it is so far down the Strip, it makes for some long walks.
