Busy but nice pub by Kristen W. at InsiderPages

This pub can get very busy in NY NY. It has good food and can be very cute and private if you get seated upstairs in one of the little rooms. Service is good.

Awesome atmosphere...very good service

by Nickatnyt at Citysearch

I had the best b-day ever there on St. Pattys day 2008. The U2 cover band was incredible...the beer was flowing, the girls were fun....just be prepared to pay the price for partying at NFI.

  • Pros: excellent offerings and entertainment
  • Cons: big tab at the end of the evening...but worth it.

Great Place

by radsxw1 at Citysearch

9 Fine is truly a great place. Cannot imagine someone not liking this place. This is a great place to get a pint of beer, and be just steps away from the casino. The authentic pub-style bar and restaurant, with celtic music really makes one feel at home on the Strip in Las Vegas. We always make sure we go to 9 fine when we are in Vegas.

  • Pros: Great place to have fun
  • Cons: Little pricey

NOT HORRIBLE! Love it!

by jammin44 at Citysearch

I've been back to this bar for the last 4 years and have never loved it more. And why eat there anyway? Beer-its all about the beer! And the music/atmosphere is great-so much fun! Great place if you don't want to be at boring club trying to look cool. Plus, the piano bar is steps away-most fun casino in Vegas!

..steps away

Where else in the world, can an avid, Irish gambler get a pint of his favorite beer, and be just steps away from the best Single-Deck Blackjack game in Las Vegas. The authentic pub-style bar and restaurant, with celtic music really makes one feel at home even on the Strip in Las Vegas.

Horrible

by melisjo at Citysearch

We sat outside which was nice. The seafood soup was the worst soup I have ever had in my life, I would rather eat the campbells version out of the can. It was even better when the waiter spilled the first bowl on my lap, leaving me smelling like bad seafood for the rest of the night. They did nothing to compensate me for this mishap. The fish and chips were so greasy they were soggy. I would not go there, in fact I would stay far away.

  • Pros: outside seating
  • Cons: the food, the service, food on your lap

Nice stop for an Adult Beverage...

by starchaserxoxo at Citysearch

We went to 9Fine on Saturday afternoon. We were seated in the booth in front of the stage, where the guy playing guitar had fun with us. He said he was gonna do a U2 song, and he only knew "One." I was the only one that got the joke. He was fun, did a number of Irish folk songs, and some modern fare thrown in the mix, nothing to boast about.

I didn't try the food, because none of it looked appealing to me. One friend had the seafood soup and liked it, and also had the coffee which she said was the best she ever tasted. The atmosphere is nice and intimate, but the food is a little pricey, especially for someone who might not like it.

  • Pros: The atmosphere and decor, a nice place to hang for an hour.
  • Cons: Pricey.

Don't plan on partying here!

by infelise at Citysearch

Supposed to be the first stop for my sister's bachelorette party. I went to the bar the night before to make sure we could get in with the bachelorette party and that there wouldn't be a problem. Explained that my sister would be decked out in bachelorette "items" and was told it would be fine as long as the restuarant was closed for the eve. Bought her a $29 tshirt from 9 Fine to give to her to kick off her evening. The night of, they refused to let the party in because she had on a veil bachelorette "items" on it. Was told she would need to remove anything that resembled a bachelorette party and further, they would not put it in a room for us until we were done. What a waste of time and the managers (2) were jerks! Should have saved the $29 too.

Knickknacks from Ireland and Celtic music bring a piece of Ireland to Vegas' New York-New York casino.

by Contributor at Citysearch

In Short
Situated amid the glitz of the casino, this casual pub draws in revelers longing for a taste of the Emerald Isle. The Celtic music and Victorian bar create a lively atmosphere. After 10pm, folk singers, kilt-wearing jig dancers and rock cover bands keep patrons cheering. For a twist on shepherd's pie, seafood lovers indulge in the Kilmore Quay Fisherman's Pie, brimming with a variety of fish in creamy cheese sauce, all nestled in a potato crumble.

Nine fine dollars for a drink

by dogbrick at Citysearch

Located in the New York-New York casino on Las Vegas Blvd, and is an upscale Irish restaurant/bar. I visited during a normal lunch time and the place was not very busy at all.

Inside there is the typical atmosphere you see at any Fado-type americanized Irish pub. Folksy knicknacks among a lot of green. The bar is along the left side of the establishment.

The beer selection was no real surprise. Guinness, Murphy's, Kinsale, Smithwick's etc. Still, it was better than the beers found at the majority of other places in the casino, and you are allowed to take the overpriced ($6/pint) beers outside the pub.

The service was decent.

I didn't try the food, but the menu boasts a lot of the Irish-American fare you would expect. Worth a stop if you are in the casino, but otherwise you aren't missing much.
