Cancun Resort

Don't stay here if you smoke. You'll be fined if you smoke in unit. Can't smoke on grounds either.

No one bothered to tell us, nor does it state anywhere on the websites that this resort is basically a non smoking resort. There is no smoking in the units ($150 fine if you do) or on the grounds with the exception of your balcony. That might not be quite as bad if you weren't in the middle of the dessert at 100 degrees plus. I never would have booked there if I would have known! Come on, it's Las Vegas!

Resort was enjoyable

My husband and I visited the resort this past weekend on a business trip. We are owners of Monarch Grand and was able to stay for 4 days. The "suites" were spacious, comfortable and very affordable.

The resort has a wonderful spa and amazing pool with a mini-pyramid cascading water into a large pool. I would enjoy coming back during early summer to try out the pool.

You feel like you are in Mexico - the hotel has a carribean feel and provide free shuttle buses to the strip (which is only 3 miles north of the resort). The resort is also very close to the Vegas airport - not a bad deal.
