Arizona Charlie's Boulder Casino Hotel

Suites are not so sweet

This motel/casino was originally built as a long term stay hotel so the rooms are large with a separate bedroom and living area, but it was cheaply built. We booked for 3 nights and were very disappointed with the cleanliness (extensive spots on the rug), furniture (cheap) and noise (minimal soundproofing). This a Motel 6 type place with a clientele to match that has been attracted to the low rates and adjoining casino.

The casino has undergone several expansions over the years, but all the good video poker schedules have been downgraded. The Sourdough Cafe continues offer an attractively priced ham and eggs special, but I would avoid the buffet. The Yukon Grill is a steakhouse which has usually been good though our experience in October 2006 was very disappointing. The steak appeared to have broiled and the accompanying potatoes served cold. There a few fast food outlets which have successfully managed to avoid over the years.

BTW - It is no longer referred to Arizonal Chariles - East and is known as Arizona Charlies - Boulder.

by far the best steak & eggs or Ham and eggs breakfast for the money. Only $2.49 24/7 Good Service and great food quality. Available at both Arizona Charlie's East & West
