The Best Place on the Strip
by astinutty
My husband and I have been here 4 times already and have never had a bad experience. George and Ronan the bartenders start your meal with the best drinks and fun. Jinho and Mike M are both wonderful servers. The steaks are fabulous as is the shrimp and mussels. Make sure to have the coconut cake it is out of this world...I don't even like coconut and love it more than anything I've ever eaten. Everyone should go here and remember the service makes a restaurant special and this place really is so very special.
- Pros: Great Food, Service, Drinks and Ambiance
- Cons: None

I ordered the ribeye on a recent trip and asked for medium and got a burned steak which was completely raw inside. Thumbs down!
- Pros: ambience
- Cons: steak
Top steaks
by mws517
I have been here three times, all three just as good as the last. Will be back again this August. The steaks are just great. I have been to all the top steak houses around the country, none better than here. Good service, good wines, good bread. You will not go away disappointed here. Love the porterhouse, all the steaks even the prime rib are very good. Pricey, but worth it. Very enjoyable experince from start to finish.
- Pros: Steaks/seafood, good service, great wine
- Cons: little noisy at times
This New York-style beef emporium does everything in a very big way.

In Short
Whether you're talking about the steaks, chops, wine list or the building, "big" is the only way to describe Smith and Wollensky. The jumbo, three-story, green and white structure houses 650 seats, private dining rooms, banquet areas, a cigar bar, retail shop, cafe and multi-tier restaurant. The gargantuan roasted pork shank served with jalapeno applesauce and cumin-laced coleslaw will easily feed three. Other stunners include the 24-ounce Cajun ribeye and New York strip.

MMMMMMMmmmmmm Must go there if you love STEAKS!!!!!!
by ann_in_lv
Absolutely loved the Steaks best I have ever had!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The staff was great too...the booth a little small and the lights a little bright...but delicious food the kind you just dream about later.......and wait for an excuse to return......mmmm I had the Filet mignon with crab on top...and we all split a scrumptious dessert..we went there with my Cousin that I had not seen in seventeen years so you know the pressure was on as far as Dinner at the Strip choice. He was staying at the Bellagio but said that our dinner here was the best food on his entire trip!!!!!
What Happened?
by vegaslover
I hadn't been to Smith & Wollensky's Las Vegas for 2 years. I was there in August and was surprised to see most of the waiters I knew had left. My favorite manager was also gone. The replacement staff isn't as classy or skilled. I ordered salads, they forgot. Then he served my friend a cajun steak when he ordered a regular one. To add insult, the waiter said he would fix it. He never came back.
The table next to us was LOUD. There is no music and we could hardly hear eachother. I asked for a manager and none came. On the way out I told the Maitre' D about the steak. He casually remarked " Was it cooked how you ordered it?"
What an insult. I WILL NEVER go there again. It goes to show that it's the staff, not the food that makes a great restaurant.
- Cons: Loud, unfriendly managers
The best steak ever?
by robbiep
I went with 15 people and 8 of us swore it was the best steak we've ever had. The amazing thing, however, is among the 8 we had 6 different steaks ordered - that to me says it all. I can't wait till S&W comes to the Bay Area....
- Pros: Food!, Food!, Service
- Cons: Slow seating
Good, not great steak
by theduke37
Smith & Wollensky's has good steak, but it isn't in the same caliber as the Capital Grille, Abe & Louis, Morton's or top local steakhouses. Put in the third tier. Good atmosphere, nice wine list and good service.
DELICIOUS!!
by daisybirddog
We loved the food. Hubby had a steak and I had jumbo prawns. Both were delicious and very filling. The waiter was very engaging and helpful as was the bartender. OUTSTANDING SERVICE. However, I thought it was a bit pricey - it was over $300 for a party of 4 without booze.
Decor is very "old boys club" and perfect for a business dinner - which we were hosting. Worth a shot but be prepared to spend some $$$$
- Pros: Service A+, Great Food, Ample Parking
- Cons: , Crowded
