What happened to Happy Hour.
Went for the posted happy hour and it was a bust - there were only 2 people in the place and the wait staff had a serious attitude. I was looking forward to a great afternoon "doggie-style" - not happenin'!

This kitschy canine-themed casino and microbrewery is a bar hound's best friend..
The Scene
Murals of puppies and paw prints decorate the exterior of this doghouse-shaped, dog-themed bar and restaurant. Inside, keg pumps are fashioned as fire hydrants; pretzels come in dog dishes; and the walls are covered in canine paraphernalia. Not particularly pet-friendly, the crowd--lone motorcyclists, neighborhood regulars and students--passes the time playing shuffleboard, arcade games and video poker. Smaller rooms off to the side provide a more restaurant-like atmosphere.
The Food
Big Dog's bar menu offers lots of drool-worthy options. Mozzarella sticks are fried to greasy delight; onion rings are golden and crisp; and chicken wings are spicy hot. The juicy rack of ribs is especially tasty with robust barbecue sauce. But stick to the grilled and deep-fried pub grub--attempts at healthier fare are not rewarding. Cool off with a Holy Cow microbrew; Rebel Red is especially smooth.

food maven.
We have eaten at Big Dog's often and enjoy its' casual atmosphere, good service and fine tavern food. While there are certainly more elegant eateries here in Vegas, Big Dog's is an enjoyable and satisfying dining experience. "Try it, you'll like it!"
