The Best Steak in town.
We come in about every month to six weeks. The food never disapoints. Everything is always well prepared and you just cant beat the flavor of thier steaks and prime rib. I like the fack that the grille is right in veiw nothing to hide, just good food.
I see a lot of negitive reviews here, but I guess people like myself dont usually do reviews, we just go back. This is why I have never seen the place dead at dinnertime. Go, you won't be dissapointed.
Best Beef in town. I have lived in Vegas now for a long while. I like Bob?s place with the old time atmosphere. Places come and go but this place has the best steak and friendly service. The sides are ok but if you want the best beef this is the place to go. Also it?s a good time to dress a bit for dinner. Most places care less about jeans and a tee. But I certainly would feel out of place there. I nice shirt and khaki?s will blend in just fine.
I was fooled.
Way too over-priced...way too over hyped...
I never fill out "reviews'...first one in fact, but felt too compelled...this place is really bad...We went based on all the "great" reviews from long time residents...(we'vw only been here since 1997). Went mid week so it wasn't busy at all...The table and chairs were sticky...should have left right there! The lobster was a white rubber ball and about the same size...the steak is something I could have mage 15 years ago on my first b-b-q. and for all that, I got to pay over $110...! At least the sodas were good. We keep seeing this place recommanded over and over again. Ok, we tried it one more time in case it was on off night...it wasn't...
Not a good choice. Wow this place was bad, but packed with people. The tables are virtually on top of each other, I was actually unwillingly engaged in the next party's conversation. We ordered 2 16oz NY strips, I am willing to bet they weren't even 10oz each. Very fatty and tough as leather. Took 1 hr 15 mins to get the meal after sitting down. Lobster tail was like a rubber ball. At least it was expensive...and the food was cold. STAY AWAY!
Steaks Only. The review is for the best stake. Bob Taylor's Steak House deserves to be in the top five in Vegas. I was a Vegas resident for four years and ate out 2-3 nights a week throughout the city. During that final year, Taylor's was the only place I chose to go when I went out for a steak.
Slip back in time to the Old West and enjoy huge mesquite-grilled steaks..
In Short
Old-West memorabilia and movie posters line the walls, and a spur collection is displayed in the bar, making the restaurant a must-see for those curious about how Las Vegas looked before the big casinos moved in. Mesquite-grilled steaks are the specialty of the house, cooked at an open grill in the ranch-style dining room. Seafood is also offered, including broiled shrimp, lobster tails and scallops.
King of Steakhouses. Having been a life long resident of Las Vegas, I have had the opportunity to watch restaurants come and go, trendy, posh, etc., but one place exists that is not a one-try place, and this is it. Very few restaurants serve the quality of food served here. The staff have always been friendly, and the atmosphere takes you right back to the beginning when it was worth the trip out of town to get to the Ranch House. Luckily, I now live nearby and the short trip to the Ranch House is made at least once a week. Don't miss the opportunity for some real Las Vegas history and great food! i take my kids there on a regular basis as my parents took me, they always want to go! They have also handled parties (I have had 125 people there!) well for me over the years, without complaint.
Disappointing Calamity. Recently having moved to Vegas, we had not yet heard the accolades regarding Bob Taylor's but went for dinner one night because they are close to where we live and we felt like a good steak. The ambiance was lifeless and boring, the service was mediocre at best, the menu is very short (fine for most adults but not for kids) and the food wasn't all that. The Grey Goose and Grapefruit I asked for turned out to be simply grapefruit juice, the garlic bread they bring to the table has a strage taste, we couldn't even eat it, the waiter was not attentive (had to call him back over for another round of drinks), and the steaks were just okay. It wasn't worth the $100+ bill, and we'll never go back.
Rat Pack Style.
Rat pack style service. One of a kind. It's like going back in time when people used to get dressed up to go out and eat.
Any of the steaks will melt in your mouth. Give it a try and see for yourself.
Thanks Bob Taylor's for all the years of good quality food and service.
Vegas' Country Hideaway. The atmosphere, food and service was excellent. The dessert was to-die-for and I'd love to be able to make their coffee at home! Nestled in the 'country,' this ranch house is surrounded by very old trees and shrubbery, not to mention the songbirds singing all around. I don't understand how anyone could give this place a bad review.
