What a joke!. 13 years as best restaurant in Vegas? Give it a break!

The food was the worst "mexican" food we have ever had, terribly salty and other than that completely tasteless. My enchiladas were pathetic. The rice was a joke (which chef cannot cook rice? I am Italian and cook mexican much better than this guy!). It would have been much better to go to Viva Mercado or Roberto's. The waitress was really stupid and rude. We complained about the food and she kept on laughing at whatever we said. My husband is from Mexican descent, we told her, and she rudely answered: You don't look like a Mexican. After our complaints, she talked to the chef and referred us that "Mexican food is notoriously salty". Really? My husband has been eating mexican food all his life and never noticed that. We wasted 45$ on bad food, and we'll make sure we spread the word: DO NOT GO TO GARDUNO!

FROM NEW MEXICO - MY SEAL OF APPROVAL!. Transplanting fine New Mexican CHILE (Green/Red) to Las Vegas seemed like a grand opportunity for the wonderful food to be "ruined". HOWEVER, after dining in "Vegas" at Garduno's - my faith is restored. EXCELLENT EXCELLENT FOOD! Prepared JUST THE WAY it is in "the home-land". Green Chile Deluxe! Red Chile as well! A fine fine job of making me feel like I was "at home" (In New Mex)! TRY IT - YOU'LL LIKE IT is used far too often, but it applies to this "eatery" 100%! APPLAUSE - APPLAUSE - APPLAUSE!

Traditional Mexican cuisine gets a New Mexican and Sonoran twist at this off-Strip favorite.. In Short
All the usual Mexican favorites are served--tacos, burritos, tamales and the like--but the restaurant also offers influences from New Mexico and Sonora, like pork adovado, posole, caldillo and green chili. Tortilla chip baskets are served with sopapillas, Mexican fried breads that look like tiny pillows served with honey. The eatery is famous for its chili, a New Mexican-style, fiery concoction with meat and spices, but no beans.
