Dr Garcia And Nessa Are fantastic.. Mona in billing very unhelpful and rude, anyone needing to talk to her will get the run around and she seems confused and does not understand her job very well!!! Up front staff professional but unfriendly.. am not going here anymore after 4 years very sad.. Womens Specialty group staff and Dr's are worth the move!!
Not sure what everyone's complaining about. The people up front are efficient and pleasant. The nurses in the back are GREAT, and Dr. Chiascione is the best!! I LOVE this office!!
This office is the worst, the girls up front need to learn how to smile, they act like they hate people. The office manager is the rudest of all, its no wonder the rest of the staff is the way they are if she does all of the hiring. Judy the MA Left a rude message on my answering machine and no one wants to listen to it they just all think I the patient is the one who is wrong with out even checking all of the facts. What a horrible office. RUDE!!! BUYER BEWARE HERE!! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE.
DR GARCIA is AWESOME. Front office staff... not so awesome. It is a good thing I don't have to deal with the office staff all that much... cause they are SO HORRIBLE. However, the Doctors at Box Canyon are a different story. I have been a patient of Dr Elena Garcia for over 4 years... she is the BEST doctor I have ever had. I followed her to Box Canyon... I try to keep my conversations with the front office as short as possible so I do not get frustrated... because they are so rude and blah. Other Doctors at the office I hear good things about too... just the front office staff is bad.
I love Dr Garcia, she's wonderful. But the staff and nurses are unhelpful and often rude. I left 3 messages before I got a call back. This was over the course of 3 weeks, so I gave ample time for their 48-72 hour callback policy. After finally calling back, they wouldn't give me the information I asked for and were somewhat rude. My insurance company needs info from them. In the mean time, I'm paying more than I need to because my insurance company doesn't have the info they need! I no longer live in Las Vegas, so I don't go to Box Canyon anymore. I followed Dr. Garcia there from another office because I liked her so much. But the service from the office staff and nurses is pretty disappointing.
Update: Dr. Garcia's nurse, Judy, hung up on me when I called because there were issues with my insurance and a prescription. When I said I couldn't make an appointment to see Dr. Garcia because I now live in Los Angeles, I was told that it's "not that far." I'm sure their office thinks I was in the wrong, but how is it okay to hang up on someone when they're trying to get important medical issues resolved?
Excellent Doctors, but... – The doctors are excellent. The rest of the staff - nurses, front office, back office, records, etc.. has much to be desired. I guess the apples don't fall far from the office manager's tree. They don't use listening skills or solve problems, and they certainly don't accept responsibility or care to improve. And they won't bill the secondary insurance, too much work for them. They take days to return calls, if at all - follow through is non existent. They just don't seem to care. Again, the doctors are excellent. Just wish they all worked together for the same cause instead of their own.
Over Charged Care – I was so disappointed with this practice. Inital co-pay was far more than any other doctor or specialist. Then they rebill for the difference after insurance has been paid. After telling them after my first visit (had transferred there when family doctor moved to their practice), that I had never had to pay even more money and being on a limited income, would pay what I could when billed. I paid an amount I could afford, when & if I was billed only to find out they were sending me to collection & had left all the pertinent info on a voice mail that other people had access to. I tried to tell them in writing that doing this (leaving info on a voice mail) is a violation of the Fair Debit Collection Practices Act. Apparantly they don't have to be held accountable for breaking laws.
Awesome Doctors - as of Fall 2011 – This office has some of the best doctors in Las Vegas! They actually listen to you and take time with each and every patient. There are not a million people in the lobby because they do not double book.
They must have made a switch with some of the front office staff - from some of these reviews. I found them to be very professional. They do their jobs on collecting the copays up front, which they should - so if that is what people are upset about? I had some questions about the office visits and what was included by my insurance, etc. They got the answers I needed before I even had a chance to go back to see the doctor. They did ask me to come in early on out first visit to do the paperwork which is normal - but we were in the Doctor's room on time and she spent 45 minutes with me on my first visit.
I liked the office so much I brought my kids here to see the Pediatrician! No office is perfect, which is why I didn't give them a 5 star rating. There is one person in the office with a less than happy personality - but we can't all be perfect :-)
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!!!!!! – WORST FRONT END CUSTOMER SERVICE AND APPOINTMENT BOOKING EVER!! Have heard rave reviews about the doctors, but get rid of the front end staff or train them better to be respectful of client's schedules. Poor communication and even worse conflict resolution skills. Never got to see the doctor, my blood pressure went through the roof with the front end clowns. So I left.
