kind of over rated.. but a few items are good. like i have heard about robertos and how great they are too much, but i guess since i'm from cali mexican food which is on every corner is so much better. i'm a big nachos guy and their super nachos with carne asade is pretty good. very fulling and plenty of meat. not taco fresco off flamingo imo. you'll feel ripped off if u get their carne onion rings. don't do it. but from what i have tried.. they make a pretty damn good torta.. their rolled tacos are off the hook, and the california burrito fits the bill. their macha burrito is so so. i mean this is a franchise place, one across the street from my house.. i dig it, but it's over hyped and i've had much better.. in nevada.. my spot is taco fresco, but robertos comes in at second.

Great Fare Without Fanfare. I have lived in two cites most of my 60 years. San Diego and San Antonio are both known for their Mexican food.

Roberto's is my absolute favorite on this planet! It's not fancy or pricey, and you may be the only one speaking English. But, if you want a taco or burrito without lots of fanfare It is the best you can get. I love the rolled tacos with lettuce, cheese, guacamole, and some hot carrots on the side. Finger Food Del Cielo!

The Real Stuff. The above posters must be from Oklahoma, because to be honest, Oklahoma City has THE worst food out of any place I've been and trust me I've been everywhere. For example, when I go home to Las Vegas (and I am a native) one of my favorite things to do is get good pizza and good Mexican. They have neither here in Oklahoma City, every Mexican place I've been to uses store bought tortillas and taco shells, what's up with that? Roberto's in every way reminds me of those taco shops you'll find in Tiajuana. So is it authentic? From what I've seen in my travels to Mexico I'd have to say yes. The meat is slow cooked and tender, the tortillas are fresh and handmade as well as the taco shells, the salsa is fresh and the flavor is great. I'll get to pizza in my next review...

Bob's it not Authentic.... I originally was on my way to Subway when I seen the Roberto's Taco Shop sign...I said what the hell, lets give it a shot. Sunset & Pecos

I ordered a Taco and a burrito, first of the meat used is not of the "Ranchera Flap steak" which is the true "Carne Asada" Second the meat is not seasoned properly its more of a "stew" cooked meat which is horrible. If I wanted soup I would have ordered it. Third meat it self was tasteless bland and chewy like stew meat.

Lastly, the price... my bill for both items came close to $8.00 NOT cheap! These items at any hole-in-the-wall would have been $6.00- $6.50, even Taco Bell has better tacos, that doesn?t say much about Roberto's Taco Shop...

Loyal patrons will say:

1."Oh but the portions are GREAT!"

2."The burritos aren't filled with rice & beans, its all meat!"

There is NO substitute for quality and taste, Two VERY important things Roberto's is missing.

Thanks,

E.

Won't accept valid coupon. This place is a major ripoff. I had a valid coupon and the empolyee said her boss told her not to accept them any more. When asked why, she only said she would not take it. She wouldn't give a reason. When asked to speak to her boss all she did was yap in spanish to a fellow employeee and never gave me an answer.

If you want grease, this is a place.. Tired sauces, greasy food, cold beans. There are so many better Mexican places here with fresh food and different sauces. It is not even particularly cheap given that the food is so bad. And who needs uncomfortable plastic seating? Avoid this chain.

Awsome food!!. I have eaten at many different mexican food restaurants and this one tops the cake! They have several locations all over the valley and you can't beat the great taste. On top of that, it's cheap!
