Save yourself...find a different doctor!!!. The only positive to this doctor would be for a drug addict looking for an easy script. If that's what you're looking for, this is your guy. I am not surprised that I am not the only bad review (to say the least) on this doc. My son is only 5 years old and only recently diagnosed with ADHD and struggling in school terribly. I have to admit that I am very ignorant on the subject but I am actively trying to educate myself with books, support groups, etc and was looking for a doctor to work with me to help my son. Dr. Zedek is not it at all. When I tried to ask questions about treatments and voiced a concern over side effects he FLIPPED OUT! When I referenced a book I had read he basically told me "HOW DARE YOU BRING A BOOK TO A DOCTOR"S OFFICE". He even tried to compare my lack of trust in him to a patient questioning their doctor's breast cancer treatment and suggested that one should, "just take care of the lump in your breast yourself". Are you kidding me?!?! Instead of trying to figure out why the ADHD meds were giving my son rage and aggresion symptoms (dopamine overload perhaps - per the book I am reading) he just wrote him a script to combat the side effects of the first script, He wanted me to put my 5 year old (hyper and inattentive but very sweet, loving, and intelligent) on anti-psychotics! I think not. I am not going to condemn my 5 year old to a life of pills because some doctor is out to make an easy dollar off of every script he writes. And despite what he says, he is TERRIBLE with kids!!!…
Easy, professional, and kind. I read some reviews on another site about Dr. Zedek and went today. He was professional and kind and refilled my old prescription and we are trying a new one out for some situational depression I've been dealing with. I'm going to see him next month for a follow up. I felt comfortable in his little office and everyone who worked there was kind. The only negative I can say is that the wait was a little long but the office's magazines kept me entertained. Dr. writes his own reviews!!!!!. YES!!! Ever since I was abused at Dr. Zedek's Eastern Ave. Office and subsequently started reading reviews of Dr. Zedek & Dr. Jay Somers, I KNEW DR. ZEDEK WAS WRITING HIS OWN REVIEWS!!! Then about a year after my horrible situation at that office, I started looking for more reviews and LO AND BEHOLD there are several people out there who aware of this. The difference between reviews written by real patients are so obvious. And when Dr. Zedek writes his own reviews, he says the same things about himself. He just changes the wording. The Dr.s at this office will invariably prescribe medications which the pharmaceutical companies pay them to PUSH. Especially Abilify and Fanapt. I was prescribed the Anti-Psychotic for Depression and suffered terrible side effects, only to find out that these are medications which Dr.s Zedek and Somers are PAID to promote. All I needed was a refill on my regular medications which I've been taking successfully for several years. Instead what I got was a drug which almost landed me in the Hospital. Furthermore I arrived at the Rx and discovered that I'd only been prescribed a four day supply, which meant that I'd be returning the next week to PAY for another appointment. DR. ZEDEK DEFINITELY WRITES HIS OWN REVIEWS!! This is now confirmed by the many other patients who have noticed this as I have...Where theres smoke, theres fire. DO NOT LET YOUR LOVED ONES BE ABUSED BY MONEY-HUNGRY, ETHICLESS SO CALLED DR.S!!!!!…
Not a helpful Doctor. Please don't come to Dr. Zedek if you would like any knowledgeable help or therapy. If, however, you would like to witness him screaming at the top of his lungs at his staff in front of you, he is sure to oblige. What a joke! He will, however, be happy to prescribe psychiatric medication for you. If drug therapy is all you are looking for, he's your man. Look at most of these positive reviews - he must be creating accounts to boost his ratings...just plain weird.…
The Guy is a Quack. Are you kidding me? The guy is terrible. He is obviously writing his own reviews. See how "RodeoGirl" and "Mouse222" wrote EXACTLY the same thing? Um, sure.
