Wonderful Experience!!

by mbdwd

Attended my son's wedding at Little Church of the West on Christmas Eve day. Everything was wonderful.

The bride had a changing room available, there was a nice area in front for pictures, the minister was truly respectful of the bride and groom and performed the ceremony "for them".

It did not feel like we were being rushed, except that everything was done "on time".

They had many weddings that day I was told, but we didn't seem to trip over anyone, and we were a group of 14. It is too bad that Happily Married Now had a bad experience because it was truly a wonderful place for a wedding.

Get drunk first, then you may not care how you are treated like cattle...

by HappilyMarriedNow

I was married on August 9, 2008 I was in a great mood all day until arriving at the chapel to see about 6 wedding parties waiting outside, no parking anywhere near, and our guests had to wait outside (in 105 degree scorching sun) for 45 minutes after the time our wedding was supposed to begin.

They advertise that the bridal parties will be given a room to change clothes, put on makeup, etc. Except the problem is when we showed up we were told the changing room was ?under construction?. No it wasn?t, it was that they double booked the day and were not able to escort so many brides and parties in and out of these rooms so they just locked them up. Not very professional, especially since it is advertised on their website and is part of the package you pay for on your, supposedly, special day.

So picture me, having to change into my beautiful wedding gown by placing it onto the floor before stepping into it in the NON-air-conditioned public bathroom, nearly fainting due to the heat.

The girls who worked the counter were absolutely rude and completely un-sympathetic. We couldn?t get anyone to answer how long we and our wedding party were expected to wait. My maid of honor attempted to escort me into a side room to get away from the hustle and bustle of all the parties checking in (about 1 every 5 minutes) and one of the counter girls very rudely stated: ?That is our private break room and you are not allowed into it!? So I stood in my dress, veil and frown in front of the only air conditioner I could find, right next to the check-in counter while the ?break? room went unused the entire time.

There was no where to take pictures with your family outside as you were surrounded by about 100 people waiting their turn. It was crazy, I can laugh at it now but it was so not what I had in mind. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy!

TRADE-OFF! Customer Service STINKS! Chapel is beautiful & classy!

by jsam79

We set up an evening wedding. We were bringing along several octogenarians and wanted it to be cooler. We had confirmed via internet and phone months prior. As we were in Vegas for 11 days, we stopped by to confirm in person days prior. We were told we had the chapel for 30 minutes for our wedding! Yeah, right more like 10 minutes total from entering to leaving the chapel!

On our wedding day we were given the WHAM! BAM! RUDE to the nth degree service. Had to wait for the limo pick up from the Venetian & the dressing room. Flowers not only were NOT as ordered. Appeared to be many days old and was just sitting out on top of their flower cooler when we arrived. As soon as the bouquet was moved it fell apart! One gal tried to freshen twice it up to no avail, while we waited 45 minutes (for what? no one else there) for the service to start.

Remember we had elderly people with us. The minister was nice & pleasant. We had been told we could go over the service we preferred prior to starting. He asked me to come forward, I am thinking we will chat quickly about which type of ceremony we wanted. I walked up, watching flowers fall out of the bouquet and when I stepped up the guy launched into the service! That is a great aisle walk photo... not! When the officiant took the bouquet for the ring exchange it disintegrated!

The DVD is horrible, the air conditioner hums & drowns out everything. Staff people talking in it & in the DVD background. The photos were okay, but we look shell-shocked from the rush through job! We didn't even know the guy was starting to take photos.

Our "Luxury" pkg = no organist. The photo quality is okay. We didn't expect much given we're older & wiser & the cheap pricing, but as we confirmed the two items that were important to us, the time & flowers it was overall a huge disappointment!

The older lady in the office needs to go! She is extremely rude & incompetent! The others were pleasant and tried their best to be helpful.

  • Pros: Beautiful, quaint chapel
  • Cons: Staff & follow through are horrid
