What People Are Saying About Luxor Steakhouse

In Short – The steakhouse inside the Luxor isn't the newest or hottest restaurant on The Strip, but that's part of the appeal: quality food without the attitude. The spacious dining room is decorated with polished cherry-wood paneling and rich upholstery, with warm-toned Egyptian-themed frescos on some walls. The menu features appetizers such as Alaskan crab cocktail, a range of seafood and aged beef cuts as entrees, and decadent desserts like the vanilla bean crème brulee.

We dined here on New Year's Eve and had the very best service and the the most delicious food that I have ever eaten! Everything was cooked to perfection. And the menu selection was incredible! It wasn't overwhelming with too many choices. Everything we ordered was amazing and our pregnant waitress was very attentive to our needs!
- Pros: delicous food, great service, beautiful ambiance
- Cons: pricey like all vegas fine dining
Poor service

I've been to the Luxor Steakhouse several times. The last two times I have been the service was abysmal. My wife's steak was cooked not to what she ordered and even after a second try it was still not right. My drink went unfilled for quite some time (actually almost the end of my meal from being empty towards the start). Our waiters were catering over a table of obnoxiously loud people next to us (evidently someone important) and pretty much ignored our needs. I'm not sure how a business can stay in business with such practices, and maybe that is why it is no longer the Luxor Steakhouse and now called Tender Steak and Seafood. With this being one of the more expensive places on the Strip to eat, I really expected better service. I have given this restaurant two stars only because my first visit out of three times I have been there was good. I doubt I will give them another chance since there are so many good places on the Strip that give much better service. For great service and food try Delmonicos, Camelot Steak House, Fusia, Sir Galahads, or Strip Steak.
- Pros: Good food when cooked correctly
- Cons: Poor service
Good food but will get better service if you look older and rich

My husband and I had dinner there last weekend. The food was excellent but the service was OK. I would have expected more from a restaurant like that. I think our waiter assumed we wouldn't tip well since we looked young. Took FOREVER to get my soda refilled and was surprised to find they charge for refills(the glasses are teeny tiny and they fill them with ice to the top!). If I would have known they charge for refills I wouldn't have asked for one. If you do plan on getting a beverage with dinner, make sure you ask for no ice! :) We were also seated right by a noisy private room. The steak was the best I ever had. The soup was phenomenal! I might go back if I ever go to Vegas again, but I will have to make sure I look a lot older and dress flashier :) :)
- Pros: Great steak and soup
- Cons: slow service and was next to a noisy private room
