The Critic. I've been to many sushi places in the Las Vegas and Henderson area. I was very optimistic after reading the positive reviews on this place, however, the reviews are very misleading. I ate at Yama Sushi on 10/20/10. Since I was hungry, I opted for the All You Can Eat dinner. The outcome: I had their Seafood Salad and the texture of the fish was slimy and mushy, not fresh. The taste was dull. The Dragon Roll (which is my must have at any sushi restaurant) tasted like 3 days old fast food sushi. Their Son of a Beach (which is known as a must have) had too much mayo which overpowered the rest of the ingredients. The cuts of the sushi rolls were uneven. They do not serve Sashimi (now I understand why). The cleanliness of the restaurant was a 3 out of 5. The staff were friendly. This place was definitely a small hole in the wall. I will not eat here again.
WOW. Omg it is the best place ive been in Vegas!! I love all the rolls and the service is great!!!
The best sushi i have found in Vegas or LA.
I have been to a lot of sushi places. In Vegas, In LA, In NYC but in my mind Yama Sushi is the best. You would never think that to look at it from the outside. Just a tiny door in a strip mall, but The food is amazing, really good prices, and great servers. I had June the manager like the other reviewer and he was great, made food very fast and when we had tried everything we wanted he made us original stuff not on the menu according to what we had ordered and liked.
This place rocks. Love it, Check it out.
Superb Sushi!. I am from LA and love sushi. Went to Vegas to celebrate my birthday and looked up Yama Sushi in phonebook. Then I looked up the reviews on citysearch. OMG this place rocks! BY FAR the best sushi I have ever had! I will make sure to visit this place everytime I go to Vegas!!! I go to Vegas about 3 -4 time per year. My wife who is not a big eater also went with the all-you-can eat menu. You will not be sorry. June the manager took care of us. We sat at the bar and waited just seconds for our orders to be served - and the place was busy on a Thursday night at about 9 pm! Make sure you have the seafood salad - spicy but so delicious! I will most certainly be going back - to Vegas and Yama sushi.
WHAT A GREAT PLACE TO EAT SUSHI.. MY WEEKNESS OF SUSHI MADE ME HAVE BEEN MOST OF SUSHI PLACES IN TOWN. "YAMA SUSHI" HAS A GREAT ATMOSPHERE WITH CLEAN IMAGE AND MOST EMPLOYEES SPEAK GOOD ENGLISH UNLIKE OTHER ETHNIC RESTAURANTS. THE BEAN SPROUT SALAD IS UNIQUE AND TASTY, IT IS THE BEST APPETIZER I'VE EVER HAD. FOR 21.50 (AFTER TAXES), YOU CAN HAVE A GREAT SUSHI EXPERIENCE AT YAMA.
Off the strip and out of this world. I tried Yama Sushi after being invited by a friend and I was blown away. The sushi is some of the freshest I have ever tasted and the service is spectacular. Words can't describe how good this place is go and try it yourself.
Best Local Sushi you can find!. This is a fantastic restaurant with a friendly staff and excellent rolls! They have all you can eat to order at 19.95 for lunch and 22.95 for dinner. There are two rolls that you must try when and if you go to this restaurant. You must get the wet dream roll and the sun of the beach hand rolls. These are the best rolls by far that this restaurant offers and these are the rolls that make me keep coming back to get my sushi fix. This place is amazing and I am extremely loyal to this restaurant. Their service and quality of sushi is quite impressive for a all you can eat restaurant. YOU MUST GO!
