The Hotel was ok, should have expected that because of the price. There was a STRONG smell of mold & mildew in the "Halls", although the "rooms" didn't smell like it, ALL of the towels & tissues had a moldy smell. Mold on the ceiling of the showers. If you have mold allergies STAY SOMEPLACE ELSE! Buffet was mediocre. I brought a party of 15 people it was our son's 21st birthday. Day 2 we went to the nightclub "Lax" downstairs. We had "bottle service & VIP room". Our bill for 15 people came to $1099.00 with tip. I gave them $450 in cash & put $649 on my mac card. The club charged me 3 times on my mac card & the cash I paid totaling to the amount if $2,198.00! I was counting on that money for the remaining 2 days of my trip. When I discovered their error the next morning & called the hotel manager, which directed me to the club manager, which directed me to accounting, everyone kept directing me in circles & no one was responsible nor helpful! Management at the club said that the charges were "holds" which would be returned, however when I called my bank from Vegas, they said NO, they were charges! When I explained to everyone that they had taken the last of my finances & my family & I were in Vegas with NO MONEY left, they said, sorry we can't help you. THANK GOD FOR THE FAMILY I BROUGHT WITH ME. They helped us with our final 2 days, & when I returned home, my bank challenged the charges & a week later I got my money back & paid my family back.... STAY SOMEPLACE ELSE!
BLOODY SHEETS & VALET DAMAGES CAR & REFUSES LIABILITY – I have stayed in just about every hotel in Vegas and this by far was the worst and I stayed in some pretty nasty hotels around the outskirts of Vegas when I was younger. Coming in from a late night out at the clubs all you want to do is get some sleep, however Luxor makes it impossible to do so when you are presented with a room that looked liked someone got MURDERED in it! When I pulled up my covers to get some much needed sleep I was presented with a few blood stains on the sheets themseleves. Apoun further inspection there was blood on the carpet as well. Even if the hotel did change their unclean sheets there was enough blood on the bed to soak thru the sheets itself. It was extrememly disgusting and violates a bunch of health and saftey standards! After risking potentially caughting an STD or some other sercious diease when getting my car from valet they put very noticiable dents in my car and refuses to pay or claim any liability for damages when car never left valet hands!
Great hotel BUT.. – It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at goo.gl/FPxYD They have some of the best hotel deals on the web!
SO you want to stay here---think again – Recently I stayed there between Feb 28 to Mar 1, 2011.
Here is a list of things which happened with me-
1. I was booked for King bed room (I paid extra for this) but when i reached I was offered Queen bedroom.
2. The hotel needs renovation.
3.There is no fridge inside the rooms. If u want one u have to rent 20$ per day. No coffee machines in side room.
4. There is a hidden charge which u realize when u check in that there is hotel development and internet fees whether u use or not.
5. There was promotion going on that time and the concierge is so adamant in selling us those promotions. Never seen so pushy people in a hotel even I am insisting that I need to rest first after a long drive, they dont care they just want to sell you the product.
6.There was not even a bottle of water or glass to drink water. Thank God I had some bottles with us.
The room was spacious and lovely - nicely appointed, sparkling clean, and very quiet.
Our room was clean, big, quiet, and unique. The buffet was delicious!!!!! We visited the fitness center and had massages. Our Luxor Vegas experience was a great girls retreat!!!
Check in was a breeze. When we got to our room, we found it to be clean, put together well, and in decent shape. While the decor is showing it's age, the room was clean and large. Beds were comfortable. The bathrooms have obviously been updated with granite counter tops, new shower stalls with tile, and an overall good look. For the price I paid for a room, I felt it was a good value. I would stay there again.
Good service. Nice Security. Comfortable rooms. Most important , at least to me, while it was full, it was relaxing and peaceful, even in the casino.
I have just returned from a 5 day stay in Las Vegas, our hotel was The Luxor .... I was in a party of 13 friends/family ....... where do I start - the holiday itself was amazing, LasVegas is a place that everyone should try and visit, it really has to be seen to be believed....our Hotel as I said was The Luxor - it was a beautiful hotel, very very very clean, the staff were excellent, very kind, attentive and courteous, the Casino was great and the food in the 'Cafe' was delicious, so all in all the Luxor is an excellent hotel, it has the whole package and I know that we all hpe to make a return visit in the not so distant future - 10 out of 10 for the Luxor - luv it
The location of the hotel was fine as far as we were concerned situated at one end of the strip but as we enjoy walking around then it wasn't an issue
