Tips for Long John Silver's

A quick-service locale for landlubbers to dine on deep-fried seafood and Southern-inspired sides.. In Short
Ashore since 1969 and inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson's "Treasure Island," this pirate-themed fast-food chain has since gone global. Batter-dipped fish, chicken and shrimp "planks" are the menu staples, combined with fries, coleslaw, hushpuppies, corn and desserts to create value baskets and Treasure Chest Family Meals. Several locations also feature sister-company menus from Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, KFC and A&W. Fish sandwiches, fried veggie bites and salads are also available.

Awful service with a corporate attitude.. I have tried to give the benefit of doubt to this location on several visits. Not only is the service at the counter terrible, but the quality of the food and the accuracy of the order is pathetic. Not worth the trouble, go half a mile south of here to In-n-Out burger, where the staff is friendly and the order is ALWAYS right and fresh. DON'T EAT AT THIS LOCATION!!!!!

Best Seafood anywhere says Brett. My wife and I recently took our first ever vacation to Las Vegas mainly to enjoy the world-class dining that the city has to offer, but partly to enjoy our one year anniversary. We're both big fans of underwater delights and therefore wanted to eat at the best seafood restaurants the town has to offer. After much research on the inter-web, we headed to Long John Silver's East Flamingo location. I must admit, our Long John Silver's experience got off to a shaky start. Upon calling to make reservations, we were greeted over the phone by a young Spanish speaking boy named Ernesto, who wasn't able to accommodate our request for a 7:30 reservation. But our limo dropped my wife and I off and the small inconvenience was quickly forgotten. We took the corner booth which provided a very intimate experience for our anniversary dinner. After 15 minutes with no waiter to attend to our dining needs, we realized that we had to make our order at the counter. Being from Paris, my wife and I weren't used to this innovation in fine dining. Once we took advantage of the counter service, we both commented to each other that we wished all restaurants were more like Long John Silvers. My wife ordered the Variety Platter and I indulged in the Value Basket Combo. Both were beyond delicious. I asked to speak to the chef to give him my compliments, but he was busy taking orders for drive thru service. (still trying to figure out what this is about) My guess is he was was shy. For dessert, my wife and I couldn't decide between the the Chocolate Cream Pie and the Pineapple Cream Cheese Cake and after a fun but brief game of rock, paper scissors, we settled on the Chocolate Cream Pie. To die for! We demolished it in seconds. What a way to spend our one year anniversary! Thank you Ernesto, Zachary, Jorge, Jamal, and all the other Long John Silver's team members who made this the best dining experience we had while in Vegas!
