I just ordered the Apple City salad through the drive though. It was the most disgusting salad I have ever had. The avacado was rubbery and off color, the lettuce was bitter and the chicken was burned and dry. I threw it away. What a waste of $11.
Don't come here!!! Go to Famous Dave's!!!!. Today I spent $51 on the worst BBQ in the world. The baby back ribs were cold, bland, and EXTREMELY overcooked. The half chicken was bland, cold, and fatty. By the way we had to put Famous Dave's BBQ sauce on everything in order to even make it edible!!! Worst collard greens ever!!! Seasonal corn on the cob my a$$. Cherry cobbler wasn't even cooked and I felt as tho I was eating dough. All in all, I would say this is the worst BBQ I've ever had and I definitely know my BBQ especially living in TX for 10 yrs and growing up in OK. Famous Dave's is by far a better choice and it's only 2 miles away from this horrible eatery. You have been warned!!!
I don't like this place. This Placeis the worst place to eat and the owners are the worst
Don't Believe the Hype.
I was disgusted after dining at the 4379 Las Vegas Blvd location: 1) the baby back ribs were dry and lacked flavor and 2) the hot links (2) - left on my plate after one bit - had a rubbery texture. The only thing that salvaged the lunch was dousing the watery sauce on the ribs to eat them, eating the cream corn and potato salad, and drinking the quart of sweetened tea.
Other than that, I wasted $21 and will not be returning to Memphis Championship Barbecue in this life time. Further, I do not understand how this particular location can justify NOT having a military discount. To me, it seems criminal to charge a military member full price. It is not like the food is any good to warrant such high prices.
Accordingly, I am going to give Memphis Championship Barbecue a 2 on a 5 scale. Whomever, gave this restaurant chain a five must have been paid to do so. Real barbecue lovers who have been to Texas, Kansas City, Memphis, and North Carolina know excellent barbecue when they eat it. This restaurant chain should be ashamed to advertise that it is a 3X world champion; the hype does not match the reality.
Awesome BBQ. I eat at the Rainbow location.... Incredible always. If you like true BBQ, eat here. The King, the pulled pork sandwich, is the best item followed closely by the baby backs...
best fod ever!. i ABSOLUTELY love this place! It has not only great food but the service is fantastic. My favorite would have to be the mac & cheese and the ribs. This place is just awesome! Great caterers too!
Memphis-style barbecue makes its way to Las Vegas in a casual eatery near Nellis Air Force Base..
In Short
Because of this restaurant's proximity to Nellis Air Force Base, Air Force memorabilia is interspersed with the barbecue awards tacked to the wooden walls, and Air Force servicemen are frequent visitors. But the food is the same as at other Memphis locations around Vegas. Unique appetizers include fried dill pickles and barbecue nachos. Entrees run from garden salads to smoked chicken, pork and beef. Sides include coleslaw, baked beans and sweet potatoes with cinnamon.
Great Food, Great service, Great resturant. I thought the food is great. My wife and I have been here several times. When we went the place was nice and busy and we still recieved our food in a timely manner. The one thing that I think can change is the temperature of the resturant. It was a little colder to my liking which also made the food a little cold. Other than that the food is great. I would HIGHLY recommend the sweet apple tea. It is soo great AND they will let you get it to go. I had the smokey beef brisket as well did my wife and I also had the beef ribs. My daughter (20 months) loved my beef ribs. I think she will want to return many times in the future. Great food, great service, and great resturant!
BBQ ? YEA RIGHT. ABSOLUTLY TERRIBLE! the worst BBQ in Las Vegas perhaps the entire WEST COAST! DRY overcooked COLD ribs, the sauce was aweful , fried dill pickels were terrible!!!! The waitress had a very bad attitude, food took forever almost 2 hrs and she wondered why she got NO tip!. The place was a ghost town and now we know why. Highly overpriced for the little bit you get, i hope you read this and take HEED! i recommend Famous Daves BBQ off Rainbow and lake mead blvd. or Lucilles off warm springs or SALT LICK in the RED ROCK casino! Memphis gives BBQ a very bad name no wonder they already closed 1 down.
Can't Compete With Lucille's. This used to be the big boy on the block for Barbecue in Vegas but after Lucille's opened, it just can't compare. The food quality isn't what it used to be. The good thing is the restaurant is never crowded because nobody eats here anymore! Save your money. This is a dying place (one has already closed)!
