The customer service at the front desk, security, etc has become really bad. They now have started shutting the water off for most of the day periodically. I complained that we should be given some sort of rent credit and they kicked me out (I was fine leaving). I recommend avoiding all the (Island) hotels in Vegas as they are a hotbed for getting arrested for minute reasons. Plus the area is boring, go downtown instead.
Best so far.
Out of the many times I have traveled and stayed in the Las Vegas strip area, Harbor Island has been one of the better locations I have resided.
They are clean and inexpensive; the service from the staff in the office was incredible. They were completely friendly and helpful. I definately reccomend this establishment.
This place is a complete sh&#t hole!!. I arrived in Mid January and was shown a room that originally looked descent. I took the room and for a mere $215.00 moved in no questions asked, let me tell you this place is scary!!!! Myself being a bouncer for over 10 years and standing 6`3 280 Lbs did not feel comfortable roaming the grounds after dark! There are security guards that walk around with guns and talk and treat the guests like their in prison...(extremely cocky and rude!!!) The Assitant manager Gina I think here name is is so fake its pathetic! Listen if you like loud noises, cockroaches, weirdos (remember there are no checks just $215.00 moves you in) then this place is for you!!!! PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE IF YOU HAVE KIDS.....THERE ARE A TON OF WEIRDOS AND IM SURE THERE ARE SEXUAL PREDATORS>>>>TONS OF WIERD PEOPLE STARING AT KIDS!!!
Very dissapointed in the room as well as the way i was and am still being treated.. Myself and some co-workers reserved rooms, paid in advance, for the NBA All star Weekend, Feb 16 - 18. My coworkers arrived on Friday the 16th and when shown to their room, they immediately noticed insects throughout the room both live and dead. They immediately asked for a refund and had to go to Bally's and get a room for an additional $200+ Dollars. I arrived the next morning at 7:00 A.M. and tried to check in, I was at that time told to wait for 30 minutes. Once the 30 minutes was up I was escorted to my room by an Armed Guard! Immediately after opening the door to the room the guard and myself noticed strong fumes from insecticide. Once we entered into the room there were insects both living and dead throughout the kitchen area, and the furniture was all stacked together in the middle of the kitchen floor. At that time the Guard immediately called back to the main office on his radio and requested that I be given a full refund because 1. There were insects running around. and 2. The room definately was not ready for any occupants. After returning to the office they offered to show me another room and I went to see it. While going to the othr room i asked the guard why they were armed and how the area was. He told me that they have had to use their weapons before on prior tenants, and that the are wasn't very safe for females walking alone. The guard also told me that the room was on the 3rd floor, and not on the 1st floor like i originally requested, and that there was no elevators. At that time I declined the room because, 1. I had DJ equipment that i brought with me and i didn't feel safe leaving it in my truck after hearing the guards report of the area, and i wasn't going to try and get it up and down 3 stories. and 2. I had 2 females with me 1, of which was pregnant and i was not going to have her up and down 3 stories and not safe walking alone and around pesticides. I will be seeking legal action if the full refund run-around doesn't end this week.
User review by coyotepop2. I stayed here last week and was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and secure and was equipped with stove and refrigerator, and a laundry room was only a few doors down. Despite a few "wanderers," the area was well lit and security guards actually were seen making routine walks on the grounds. This is a great location, just behind Hard Rock, and as long as slot machines and room service are not your reason to be in Vegas, this is a good value for an extended-stay guest. The worst part for me was the absence of a microwave, but that was a cheap fix...
