It was better. The music was great, it was unique. It is one of the fatalities of adapting to the masses

Skinhead hang out.... The place is cheap and looks great. My complaint is the attitude of the staff and patrons. Was there, talked in another language, got dirty looks and eventually were told to leave by the bartender who said we were "disruptive and annoying" ...yet were only talking amongst ourselves. The place is fine if you're a skinhead I suppose.

Great signature drink. My friend and I went to the Double Down on a quest for a Vegas "dive bar" experience. We are your average 30 something white collar housewives - and we had a great time. The clientele in there would be scary by stereotype, but as I have found through my years of dive bar experiences, the most friendly people to be found are "bikers". We talked with the other patrons and really enjoyed their signature drink called a** juice. The bathrooms are really something to see. We walked from the Double Down to the Hard Rock Casino, and I don't remember it being very far or a dangerous walk.

Keeping the Faith - Old Skool Punk Rock. Aging punks have a home here. As do young ones. Lotta good ska on the juke box too. It's grimy just the way it's supposed to be. Long Live The Happiest Place On Earth.

Dive Dive Dive. I saw people in there with no teeth, unshowered, bandanas....and that was just the women. It's a DIVE. Tats, piercings, punk, goth, rockabilly hipsters, bikers, more tats. Order a classic like a Manhattan and be grateful if you get sweet vermouth. They'll kick you in the 'nads if you ask for bitters. And if you want it shaken like a martini? You'll be lucky if you walk out with all of your teeth. But if you had teeth in the first place....

It's definitely hidden, but it's right by the airport, next to impossible to find. Have the cabbie take you there on your way out.

It's the reader choice... Then how could I be the first to review it?. I'm sure I drove passed it... How can this poll work if no one else reviewed it. Must be good if it is number 1 for dive bars with a parking lot. Guess I'll look it up next time in town. It's a long commute from West Seattle, but hanging out in Vegas is a pass time. So I'll wait to see if anyone else will rate it. (We have detected the following inappropriate words: *&^) (MS @ work again. I had to change that bad word)

This artsy dive features psychedelic murals, a varied clientele and inventive drinks, such as the bacon martini.. In Short
Conveniently located between the city's airport corridors of Paradise and Swenson, this dark little bar is something of a locus for the Vegas arts scene, with a crowd of bohemians, punks, college types and barflies. Surf, punk and rockabilly bands occasionally take the tiny corner stage, while the jukebox boasts a diverse selection, with everything from Black Flag to Frank Sinatra. Wednesdays feature Bill Cherry's blues jam, a Double Down tradition.

Don't Miss the Blues Night. One of my favorite hangs on Wednesday nights is the blues jam at the Double Down. It gets pretty crowded in there, but it's all well worth it to listen to Blue Cherry & Friends for a couple hours. Those boys can tear it up. The other music nights are just as good, though quite a bit louder.
