Editorial Review for Rainforest Cafe – by Chris Barsanti
In Short
While waiting for a table, hungry diners prowl the retail village, where cash-register ka-chings compete with chirping birds, roaring lions and chest-thumping gorillas. When the lights start to flicker, never fear--thunderstorms are part of the show. The menu is American comfort food--pastas, burgers, pizzas and salads--served with a tropical flair. There are plenty options that the kids will recognize, but enough novelty to keep the parents happy.

This restaurnant is simlair to Red Robin in terms of noisiness, kids, and food options, but not as tasty. I've eaten here twice and the food is ok. It's not super flavorful and not well priced for what you get. However, the atmsophere is pretty fun with the cheesy animal decor, and the thunderstorms are fun to watch. If you're looking to redeem MGMfood credit, don't use it here though. Mgm will only credit for restuarnts they own, which apparenly doesn't include this one. Overall, it ok.
Pros: atmosphere
Cons: food not exciting

The food was great! We had a shrimp pasta dish, paella (OMG!), and bananas Foster. The service was good and friendly, maybe a bit rushed. The food was fresh and plentiful....the entrees were a bit too much for one person to eat and we didn't even have an appetizer, plus, we can both eat! Because the entrees were delicious, we forced ourselves to have dessert, predicting that it would be great, besides, we deserved a treat. Good thing we shared the dessert. Aquariums are a nice feature. About the only possible con is that this is not the place for those who are looking for a quiet relaxing place to eat............there were a lot of kids there and making a lot of noise, on top of the jungle noises and rain/thunderstorm. I would definitely dine here again.
Pros: food is fresh, delicious and plentiful
Cons: not for those who are looking for a quiet restaurant to dine in
