Monte Carlo Resort & Casino

The elegance of a European escapade in Las Vegas

  • Casino gaming
  • Entertainment
  • Upscale dining

The Monte Carlo features the elegance of a European playground combined with the excitement of Las Vegas. Our crystal chandeliers, imported marble and sculptured fountains rival the most magnificent destination resorts in the world.

The Monte Carlo's deluxe rooms and elegantly appointed suites are designed to make your visit comfortable and relaxing. Rich wood furnishings and vintage decor, along with marble entries and baths, make our rooms stylish yet functional.

Las Vegas is known as the city for gambling and the Monte Carlo's casino is part of the reason why. Slots, blackjack, high-limit gaming areas, baccarat, roulette, video poker, and a race and sports betting area are offered.

Editorial Review for Monte Carlo Resort & Casino – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
This property's design was inspired by antiquated elegance of the French Riviera with fountains, palm trees and statuary at its arched entryway. With faux turn-of-the-20th-century architecture, this attractive (and attractively priced) mega-resort features a 21,000-square-foot outdoor recreation area with swimming, children's, wave and river-drift pools. Spa Suites house separate wet saunas and full-size spa tubs. There's an arcade, golf concierge, wedding chapel, rejuvenating spa and Reebok exercise facility. Dining options include Andre's classical French cuisine.

My husband planned a weekend getaway to Vegas for my birthday. He chose the Monte Carlo because it was one of the better priced rooms and was located on the strip. We arrived at the hotel to be greeted by an hour long wait to check in. After finally checking in we opened the door to our room to find a smelly small room with paper thin walls. After unpacking we headed down to the casino, after losing tons of money and not getting any free cocktails we decided to go to Diablos to eat. It was not anything like the brochure in our room had us picturing it. The food was very good but extremely over priced especially on the alcohal at 6 draft beers for $50. Our first night in our room, the walls were so thin you could hear everything. The bed was realativly comfortable except I awoke itching several times through the night. I thought I was allergic to the laundry soap they had used to wash the sheets. After arriving home we discovered small insects in our suitcase. After having a exterminator examine them we discovered they were bedbugs. $700 more dollars to the exterminator to inspect and spray to help ( i say help because they don't guarentee) make sure they didn't breed and infest our house. I called the hotel to report this and was transferred from person to person until finally being told that a manager was unavailable and he would call me back. It's been 2 days and guess what. Yep no call. Inspect your bed before you sleep or you may awake to insects crawling and biting. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone pay the extra money to stay in a clean hotel.

Pros: It's on the strip

Cons: You will need an exterminator after you leave. Dirty rooms, thin walls
