Editorial Review for Star Trek: The Experience – by James P. Reza

In Short
Even visitors only peripherally familiar with the sci-fi phenomenon will assimilate themselves into this fun environment. While other Vegas attractions promise elaborate theme-park surroundings, only this offers the depth of detail and veil of fantasy park-goers have come to expect. The museum is especially popular with true Trekkie fans, with more than 200 items making it the largest permanent collection of costumes and props in the world.

I visited Star Trek thr Experience about 6 years ago, and i had the best experience there. I was planning on going back for the Borg Invasion when I retire in 2013, but I found out Star Trek is leaving this year, this is highly illogical. What about all the Trekkies and future Trekkies who havent visited yet? STAR TREK THE EXPERIENCE FOREVER. Qapla' Don Hansen aka KORG' Jamentown Ca

Pros: Star Trek

Cons: star trek leaving

I come here every time that I am in Vegas. My dad is a Trekkie and I am a casual Star Trek fan, but there is something here for everybody. I would not suggest bringing a small child to the Borg Invasion, since it is a little more intense than the Klingon Encounter portion. Also, the Backstage Tour is very fun, but you're not allowed to share details with friends, so if you're a big mouth by nature and feel the need to splurge secrets, don't even think about it! The gift store is awesome, too, as you can go home with your own pet Tribble or bottle of Romulan Ale. IMPORTANT NOTE: They want to shut down the Star Trek Experience because of decreased rider-ship! They were going to keep it open until the new Star Trek movie comes out, but they pushed it back until next May. If you are a real Star Trek fan or love the Star Trek Experience in Las Vegas, PROTEST THIS COURSE OF ACTION!

Pros: Terrific all around!

Cons: Tickets can be pricey, but just go to discount ticket stands throughout the city to get cheaper tickets.

It's not a theme park, Jim! It's a multi-faceted attraction offering a menu of diversions.  See the full editorial review.
