Editorial Review for Circo at the Bellagio – by John Curtas
In Short
Shades of red and gold cover this dreamy, circus-themed dining room. Large windows look out onto the Bellagio fountains, making it a perfect spot for a romantic meal. The menu includes a rich 30-vegetable Tuscan soup, pastas or risottos with nary a tomato and a simple sauteed chicken breast in a lemon-and-capers sauce. Lamb is lightly treated with just the right touch of Chianti. Exquisite bomboloni (fresh doughnuts stuffed with cream) offer a sweet ending.

Circo is a great place but you'll spend the money for it. The food is very good, especially the meat dishes. The view is beautiful which looks over the bellagio fountain. The service does not match the restaurant's quality characteristics. Everyone from the hostess to the manager was somewhat cold and uninviting. We spent a lot of money and still entcountered this, so who knows why this is the case. We were there for the food and ambiance, so the service aspect didn't bother us, but this is an important factor for many. If you want to be catered to, don't go here, but if you are more interested in Italian food and wine then give it a try.
Pros: wine list, view
Cons: service

the decor was nice and exciting...wish the food was too but was not at all. my fiance ordered a steak and he was fine with it, until i tried to steal all the food from his plate! my meal was ridiculous. from the way the menu described my dish (shrimp and pasta), it sounded really delicious BUT, when they brought it out, it was dissapointing. looked like some kid made tiny little pasta, drizzled with olive oil, with BABY boiled shrimp. they could of at least got me some nice BIG shrimp and put some FLAVOR in my dish for that kind of price! i was stuck with it cause they were about to close. dessert was good. the view for the water show was the only thing that was nice there.
